Story:
Not every video game has to be an action packed, lore filled story line with multiple timelines, nor a deeply layered masterpiece with symbolism for every piece of dialogue. Sometimes all my heart desires is a basic but heartfelt story where you go from point A to point B, that's all this game is, and all it needs to be.
Music:
Not the most grandiose and intelligently composed soundtrack, but for a loving yet dark fairy tale, nothing else could have been more fitting. The simple, childlike sounding instruments, with spooky, dark melodies, create a very fitting ambience that radiate familiarity and nostalgia.
Art:
The art is simply beautiful. This is where the most effort was clearly put. The storybook-esque art style is animated beautifully, like you are actually playing a bed-time story. The strokes and splashes of color in these illustrations were so obviously filled with passion, its hard not to love.
Game play:
It will get boring. Although this game has amazing music and art, and a wonderful story to tell, even I question why this had to be a game. The game will become exhausting to play after a lot of the same puzzles and hopping around, for a lot of people, it's fun for the first few minutes before it becomes tiresome. I personally didn't mind it at all, but I can see how this would turn a lot of people off.
Thank you for reading.

A short puzzle platform that knows what it wants to be. The story is the main highlight of this game with its fairy tale storybook style. The gameplay is fairly simple and easy with the most difficult puzzle being completely optional. The biggest issue is that jumping feels too floaty and a little imprecise but it's level design is simple and forgiving enough the point that it doesn't effect gameplay.
Liar Princess was a nice surprise. I liked the storybook nature of it and was really invested in the story throughout.
However, the game itself is not that fun to play. It plays like your typical platformer with some simple puzzles thrown into the mix. It's a shame because is more than capable of doing creative things with its gameplay, but it doesn't fully commit. If the game had gone the extra mile with its creativity, I would be singing a different tune.
But all in all, Liar Princess and the Blind Prince is a good game that I would recommend at a cheap price.
[7.5/10]

An amazing storybook adventure with a lot of lovely secrets and heartwarming dialogue. This game made me cry and effortlessly got me attached to all the characters.
If you want a 5-7 hour game that will warm your heart, make you feel good, and offer you stunning music and visuals as you play, this is hands down the game for you.
The only reason this game is not 5 stars is because it is sadly not perfect as far as mechanics go, but everything else more than makes up for it. It does not overstay its welcome, and it takes you on an emotional journey that will make you want to replay it.

I was excited to play this game when I first saw the trailer cause the art style really caught my eye as well as the plot.
What I got was a game I can walk away from and say was good. Gameplay wise its nothing special, its extremely simple puzzle stuff, but its not bad by any means.
The game makes up for this with its story telling, style, and characters though. Everyone is pretty simple but I liked the interactions the Prince & Princess had with each other, was very cute and or funny.
That ending is pretty bittersweet though.
This game is worth it if you want something short, simple, and cozy. Though, I'd wait for a sale, $20 is a bit too much for it imho.

I really wanted to like this game because the art and story are so charming but this became a bit of a slog by the end. Most of the times that I died were from the game's awkward controls. The puzzles were underwhelming too. The game is short and very forgiving at least. There are plenty of other much better designed 2D puzzle platformers available.
This game has a "hold hands" button.
The prince & princess smile when holding hands.
Need I say more?
In case I do, great game. Cheap deaths were common for me in a few places, including after actual hard parts, but before the next checkpoint, sending me pretty far back at times. That, plus my personal feelings towards the ending, are what's keeping this otherwise great, adorable 2D puzzle game at a 4/5 for me.
