Bought the game, put "Hyperzine" into my gas tank, made my car be able to go upwards of 290 MPH, began defying gravity went so fucking fast i did, hit a ramp, got launched into the air, took a smoke outta my glove box and smoked it in 0.2 pico seconds, Crash landed, everything in my car broke on impact, got out, went home, played the game, wonder why the game emulates my life.
Its ugly, its buggy, it has no "proper" ending, its repetitive, there are two enemy types, like 5 different buildings, the radio loops every 20min BUT its super fun!
You start in a house with a random Car. You can find most of the equipment and stuff you need for your journey in this buildinh. Pack all you need in the car and start driving on the single road available.
Difficult to describe, watch it on YT or try it out. Its somewhat relaxing and funny to play while listening to something.
Im going to install some mods now to expand the "content" of the game!

I know a lot of people that have very specific games that they play to turn their brains off or play because it gives their hands something to do while they focus on other things, and I never really understood it until I put 1000km (and stopped) into TLD.
The simplicity and ease of surviving in this game puts it above just a literal idle clicker or something, but once you get any amount of stored resources you could basically ignore any stops; the driving is what you really need to "pay attention to" because the biggest problem you'll face is some part of your car flying off due to the games janky physics.
The real point of this game though is just to give you something to do if you can't sit still with something else: you could listen to a whole book or long video if you wanted to. Hell, I even finished a whole movie while playing this at one point.

A goofy turn-your-brain-off kinda game. The multiplayer is extremely early in its development, so much so that practically everything is delayed on each player's screen. Some may see enemies that others don't, and things such as sleeping do nothing for anyone who isn't host. It runs like hot garbage, looks like hot garbage, but it's so damn charming that I can't help but love it. Going on a road trip has never been more fun in a game.
