very charming and cool fighting game that's fun casually and has huge appeal to any longtime fg fan, but there is some absurd jank in it that really makes me not want to play it more often than not. a-groove and roll cancelling really hinder the game for me. besides that stuff, it's a fun footsies game with a great roster, though i wish there were a bit more hit confirms and special cancels to help round out decision making. would be great with a few balance patches (which makes it very good mugen fodder)
One of the best Rosters in any Fighting Game and it also features 6 Different Gameplay Styles you can choose based on Capcom and SNKs most popular games. This really feels like a dream game. And also has the best Soundtrack in any Fighting Game.
If this had the Alpha 3 juggle System it would be my all time favourite Fighting Game.

Quite possibly the most charming fighting game of all time and the sole reason why Capcom should let Itsuno make another fighting game. The groove system is a genius way to blend both Capcom and SNK playstyles (Including one that lets you parry like in Third Strike, dood.) Would be 5 stars if it wasn't missing both Kula and Alex.
This is hands down for me the BEST crossover fighting game i ever played, the characters are so loyal to their franchise counterpart and the way they implemented the special bar system is so goddamn genius... my only complaint if any is that we don't get character specific musics but damn, i would kill for a sequel to this one.
Annoyingly this Dreamcast version was released only in Japan, and while it's better than its predecessor and the lamentable Pro version, this sequel sadly isn't the best that it could be. It does the job, barely, with the addition of fifteen new characters, including Dan and Joe from the above mentioned pro edition of the first game and several new groove modes. It drops the ball a bit with some graphical letdowns, some sprites seemingly ripped from the previous games with no updating, making them look a trifle poor in comparison to the newer art. But on the whole a nice play.
8.5/10

oh ho ho this is indeed true love we are making. Probably my favorite fighting game of all time right here, it combines all the best things about capcom and SNK fighting games into one bundle of yes. The roster is a bit standard and not as wacky as say an MvC game but that's not really the vibe they were going for. With the roster of fan favorite characters plus the various "isms" to pick from, this is a love letter to the fighting game genre from the two companies that made the genre so loved to begin with.
