If there's one thing MoP deserves praise for, it's its content cycle. MoP was supported very, very well with good patch content at a very good cadence. The music also deserves huge props.
I admit, I played very little of MoP, and that holds true for any expansion in the post LFR age of WoW. I consider everything after Cataclysm to be "modern" WoW, and I can't enjoy it the way I do the stuff that precedes it. As far as "modern" WoW expansions go though, MoP is solid.

this really was overhated back in the days, yeah second half of this expansion (thunder king and Siege of orgrimmar) was def better than the first one but overall we got some really entertaining and engaging story even if i didnt really like how they introduced pandaren, Pandaria is probably the most gorgeous place in azeroth and the Kun Lai Summit feels like heaven, overall life was good and some of the problems from Cata were fixed but cuz of things like shop and raid finder it didn't felt like Vanilla, TBC or WOTLK
still G R E A T expansion, isle of thunder is top 5 zones ever imo and Throne of thunder is my fav raid with Siege of Orgrimmar sitting in the top 5 aswell.

An underrated gem. I remember listening to the nighttime music in the Valley of the Four Winds one evening while doing otherwise mindless dailies and thinking to myself, "I'm going to miss this expansion." I'm indifferent toward the pandaren at best, though I was never bored and the actual gameplay was an absolute blast.
It was also the last time for that players would see Blizzard changing up its patch structure and applying feedback actively throughout an expansion. There were legitimate gripes with a lot of the game's features, but the version we had by the end was a very fine-tuned experience.

i know everyone and their epic mount shits on MOP for being the funy panda xpak, but let's not kid ourselves; this was the last time wowcraft's storytelling was at least decent. we could've stopped after the siege of orgimmar, but then Warlords of Draenor happened and we've been going downhill ever since (though at least Legion was fun).
also pandaria itself was gorgeous and monk class was fun as hell! fight me!

Riiiight. Time to lay it all out. MoP was actually a really good expansion.
I do remember it looking really ridiculous but as the expansion went on, it honestly got more and more interesting. Fun raids, good story and Pandaria is a beautiful place to explore. And the music is so touching too. I really enjoyed this expansion from start to finish. No shame there.
Siege of Orgrimmar was awesome too. One of my favourite raids of all time.
The most underrated expansion. If you look at the expansions we got now and hated MoP, you owe this an apology big time!
