Playing Through My Evercade Collection Part 15: Jaleco Collection
Its not an awful game though its a very much standard mix of platforming that sort of works and combat that sort of meets the mark with some decent enough graphics. Its fun but even after playing through several levels, abusing the hell out of the evercade save state feature thanks to one or two horrible moments, I don't exactly have a lot to say about this one other than decent graphics, nice soundtrack, slightly clumsy gameplay.

I didn't even know this game existed until fairly recently and yet I still have nostalgia for it. That's impressive!
I gotta say, for once the American localizers really did their job here and came up with the okay title "Astyanax" rather than go with the more-accurate in Japanese but utterly atrocious title "The Lord of King"
This is a good game I liked the cutscenes in between levels also had a decent story and soundtrack for back in those times.
Plays like shit, but those skeletons are goofy
A solid game with nice sprite art and music. The enemy placement and size of your character really hamper the game as it feels like you can barely move at time with the amount to tiny enemies swarming you in the later stages. A solid cheap nes title thats worth picking up.
