The gameplay concept here is so well executed that it truly makes for a timeless and endlessly replayable game. While the objective remains the same, the levels are varied enough to make each one feel like a new challenge as you race the clock to collect all of the diamonds without getting crushed to death.

A pretty fun good looking NES Puzzle with good music that loses its luster fast with how easy it is to either die or lock yourself out of being able to win the level. Intricate knowledge of the game and precise timed tricks should be reserved for advanced techniques and a post-game, not introduced in world 2. It's also hilariously easy to either get yourself killed or trap yourself in the level. Getting killed by a gem I was supposed to collect was funny the first time but really started getting to me around the 5th time.

I think with a bit of cleaning up and better design this novel idea could really be a great game, but I wouldn't recommend it without save states or an emulator with a rewind function.

The only C64 game I bought on the Wii's Virtual Console when that existed. That says a lot right there.

Yep, this is Boulder Dash alright.
Oh, the zoomed out view is the best way to play obviously.

Great game that makes you feel like an absolute moron every time you crush yourself with a rock

Load it up on your C64 tape deck and have a good time
