The graphics look like placeholders, the animation almost non-existent, the collision detection is horrendous, your character slides like he's on ice, the boss battles are pathetically easy, the levels are confusing (What is the point of Van Helsing?) and the less said about the liberties taken with the story the better. tl;dr The game feels like an unfinished mess.

Dogshit. Far too few invincibility frames, far too much offscreen bullshit, bad and confusing stage design, HORRIBLY grating sfx, and a lack of any charm or interesting stuff to carry it a bit higher. Only remembered for "Fred Fuchs" in the credits nowadays, and that's all it really deserves. Maybe not even that because he was part of the Dracula film crew and not this game.

Was a psychological experience. Thank you Fred Fuchs.

I beat it in the first boss, and you can't tell me otherwise.

Tfw you're a kid and your older cousin has a snes with Bram Stoker's Dracula, but no Castlevania.
