Eat candy before it eats you

So I used to play the original game a ton on Newgrounds as a kid so it’s nice to play a new more enhanced version on mobile with tons of fun additions
There are microtransactions but you can totally complete the game without them, even the ads are optional it’s great!
Launcher games seem to be a dying genre only really living on though Angry Birds but if your into these types of games this is a must play (plus you won’t be bombarded with ads and in-game purchases like Angry Birds 2)

Esse foi um dos primeiors jogos mobile que eu joguei e percebi que eu gostava na época

pretty cool launcher game
i think pineapple spank should call me tbh

"Bite-Sized, But Lacking In Depth"

A fun little mobile launcher title that is simple to learn but lacking in depth and strategy. The aesthetic is neat, and the presentation is solid enough as well. There are a variety of upgrades that introduce new gummy power-ups and abilities. Starting out, it seems like a really great mobile title.

However, the lack of skill the player needs to have is eminent through further play. Most of the time you'll just rely on luck (there is a literal "luck" skill you can upgrade), and this will dramatically change what types of obstacles you'll face along your launch path. Additionally, the gameplay doesn't really evolve as much as I had hoped, and it lacks the stylish charm of "Jetpack Joyride" with its crazy abilities. I think a boss to break things up throughout levels would have worked well, but here its just the same loop over and over.

I would Recommend this one since it is free and minimal with its required ads. The progression is fine though lacking in substance, and the gameplay is too luck-based to be something that would hook you long term, but the presentation is there and it is simple to play as well.

Final Verdict: 6/10 (Above Average)

literally just the first game (which is inherently fun) but with a bunch of shitty microtransactions

I'm not usually one to play phone games, but when my PS Vita and 3DS were tragically stolen I had to make do for my handheld needs. Burrito Bison is a game I first played years ago, and just as before, I was addicted for a few days before deleting it out of frustration.

The game oozes personality with its Newgrounds aesthetic, and for a short time it's actually quite fun to play. Unfortunately, its high-flying hijinks soon come crashing down thanks to aggressive monetization, stunted progression and a surprisingly small amount of substance. If Launcha Libre was a paid game with more actual levels, I'd think more kindly of it. As it is, this is a game that asks you to pay several dollars for power-ups that last only a few rounds of about 45 seconds each. Not very scrupulous, and a damn shame for a game with such personality.

I remember getting a huge kick out of this as a kid

Something of a blast from the past, the original Burrito Bison is something I remember playing back in middle school in the computer lab. Back then there was only one “launchador”, one enemy, and fewer special gummies. It’s a lot more fleshed out here now. More upgrades, more minigames when hitting gummies, and new pounce abilities for different launchadors. It’s surprisingly fun. Really luck based, but decidedly addictive for a mobile game. With no real endgame it starts to wear after a while though. The bonuses and increasing money boosts give a reason to keep playing, but there’s only so many walls you can break through before you start to ask why you’re still going. Burrito Bison is a solid time-waster that’s improved on the foundation of the main game, but typical in its endless play monetization. Good enough to grab your attention, but limited in its shelf life.
