I tried it on pc and I think it is a game with a lot of potential. I think it is one of the most complete farm games, along with stardew.

Now my note is because they have released the game halfway through, with thousands of bugs...

They are still working on them, but it didn't seem right to mislead (to my way of thinking) people by announcing the release of the complete game when it is not.

I hope someday it really will be completed because it has a lot of potential and I'm looking forward to play it.

I've played a lot of this game. I've played a lot of Stardew Valley. The core gameplay is exactly the same but with enough stuff added to make it stand out. I was especially delighted and charmed by the elements of Indonesian (I'm assuming!) culture embedded in the game. The character stories aren't very deep but do the job. As the game stands now (Xbox, launch version) I've encountered some bugs and experienced some crashes but nothing too major. I eventually ran out of stuff to do but I was already on my fourth year on the farm, excited about the future updates.

i have this on like xbox gamepass and i think its still in some weird beta mode but i think its a more fun version of stardew.. more to do!

A decent but very derivative farming sim.

Soy adicta a este juego, ayuda.

It could be better, with a more interesting progression, but the game is very good, the models are cute, and it has cool characters.

i really wanted to like coral island but all of the waiting it took for me to finally be able to play it just wasn't really worth it, and that makes me sad. i didn't like the art style and the storyline didn't do it for me. it wasn't worth the hours i put in to it.

It's not bad, it's actually quite fun even but it's like "We have Stardew Valley at home"

What is the point of early access if games can eventually 'release' in a state as obviously unfinished and broken as Coral Island?

I'm quite enjoying my time with this; it's scratching the Stardew itch that I still have long after having entirely exhausted myself with that specific game. I don't particularly mind that it's not quite as mechanically solid, that the writing is completely boring and bland, and its characters are underdeveloped caricatures and/or archetypes. I appreciate the different art style, the island setting, and the diverse character design quite a lot - when the characters aren't talking, they're incredibly charming!

But I straight up do not understand how anyone involved in Coral Island's creation felt comfortable calling the game 'complete' in this state.

Quests and events are unfinished or have broken triggers - especially the event day minigames! Entire systems are half-implemented, missing or under-explained. Menus and dialogue is riddled with typos. I've experienced significant bugs almost constantly, and during every single one of my play sessions, the game has crashed to desktop. The game saving when you go to sleep at the end of each in-game day means that a crash results in you losing all progress made since you last saved.

I'm not against early access as an approach to game development. It's a valid means of funding niche games, of building an dedicated audience, and of incorporating the feedback of players, ideally resulting in a polished, feature-complete title when 'officially' released (even though the distinction between early access and official release is ultimately becoming pretty arbitrary). A game being in early access also sends a clear message to players: "lower your expectations". I expect and can forgive jank and bugs and things to be missing and for the game to run poorly because the game is explicitly not finished yet. A game in final/full release carries the expectation of polish, feature-completion, and optimisation (at least, it should; this has obviously become less common over the past two or so console generations).

Coral Island clearly still needs a lot more time in the oven, and I can't think of any real reason it had to be rushed out in its current form. It's a completely bizarre choice that, despite me finding it quite fun in spite of it's glaring faults, has left me feeling pretty disappointed overall.

versao ´´meh´´ de stardew valley

i enjoyed my time playing, but i couldn't help but keep calling it "the stardew valley we have at home" (or, perhaps more derisively, "stardew valley with a nicer art style but worse writing" there was a cutscene that was just the "pivot" scene from Friends. I do not care enough about Friends to think it was funny.)

there are also some things (frankly too many for a 1.0 release) that are obviously unfinished. i will probably pick it up again later at some point, but i'm content with just one in game year with it for now.

I think it is the most worthwhile farming game after Stardew valley nowadays.
It has a lot of content and its just the beggining. They are releasing a lot of updates. Great job.

I like this game, Stardew Valley in 3D but it still has bugs and occasionally crashed my PC. 😢 Although, I understand it's an indie game and will took forever for more updates even players are waited for them.

fun! but i got back into stardew instead oops

Same exact mechanics as Stardew Valley but everyone is a Disney character and the graphics are 3D

Super schön. Gut durchdacht. Man wird nie fertig. Nicer Sound.

I've really enjoyed it and the ways it improves on the Stardew Valley experience, but there are still elements in the game not fully implemented. Once the game is more refined, I would love to play it again.

It’s a cute game!! Good for winding down when you’re stressed. But some parts of it still feel like it’s early access / underdeveloped and of course I do feel like this game is a lot less fun to play with its control mechanics on console versus on PC.

Also I love the environmental themes and the premise of the island's life. But I do think that we need to start evaluating whether every cozy life sim truly needs to be a farming sim. It’s starting to become an over-saturated game mode in the market.

Have you liked Stardew Valley? Just play it.

Im waiting for its kinks to get worked out in 1.0 for me to continue, BUT i did enjoy it enough in beta that im looking forward to coming back to it one day

It's great! The inspiration from Stardew Valley is obvious and at times it feels like I'm playing the same game over again, but at the same time it brings many welcome mechanics to a farming simulation.
Positive points: The technological advancements you can make, automatizations, as well as the paralel dungeon system between the mines and the ocean are refreshing to see. Beautiful visuals, great variety of bachelors and NPCs, lovely system of upgrading weapons and events with minigames.
Negative points: It's still very clearly unfinished, even for a 1.0 version. There's missions literally marked as WIP on the game, there's areas that are accessible but empty, the romancing is limited and underdeveloped. Overall it needed polishing, the devs could hide unfinished parts altogether instead of breaking immersion by leaving them.
Overall opinion: I've spent many many hours on it and it's really promissing. It's not the work of absolute love of a single creator like Stardew and it shows sometimes in the shallow personality of the NPCs and story itself. On the other hand, it's lovely and cozy and so easy to feel good while playing. If you like cozy farming games do try it, but it's gonna take some time and some major updates to be really worth the money.
