Why did no one tell me this is basically a game made for people that thought the best parts in Tobal and Ehrgeiz were the RPG modes. I always thought this was just some generic beat em up.

Okay, it still kind of is a generic beat em up, but you can level up your characters and it has rogue-like elements. I think I still prefer the Ehrgeiz quest mode tho.

This game surprised me. I had never heard of it before and got it on a whim at GameStop when they heavily marked it down. Essentially this is a procedural dungeon crawler with cel shaded graphics. I will state, however, that for being a dungeon crawler it is lacking in variety. Each character has its own play-style and equipment, but it's very surface level. I remember playing for hours trying to get item drops that actually felt like an improvement. I honestly couldn't tell you much about the story as it was so long ago but I don't remember it being horrible. I just remember it being grindy and repetitive even by standards for the dungeon crawl genre. If you're a fan of dungeon crawlers and the art style doesn't turn you off then I highly recommend it because it's pretty cool despite its flaws.

I found the gameplay to have bullet sponge enemies, so after a while, I just put in on easy mode and juggled the enemies till they died so I could say I beat the game. A big EHHH/5. Girls were hot
