Played this a lot more than the NES version, loved it just the same

Engraçado que todo mundo cresceu com esse jogo em outras plataformas, mas pra mim ele sempre foi do GameBoy. Enfim, clássico total.

A cute downscaling of the NES game. Plays the same way, you visit the same stages, but there's differences to make it work for the hardware. Definitely give it a shot if you've played the NES version and want to see a slightly abridged version.

A pretty decent version of DuckTales that features similar but very different level design that fits better on Game Boy screen. It's an enjoyable game, but there are a few issues with this Game Boy version. It feels a little jankier overall compared to the original NES version, sometimes I would try to defeat an enemy with a pogo jump, but instead of registering the hit correctly, I took damage which can be pretty frustrating, and this version lags a fair bit. The biggest issue this version has is its sound. The sound effects would often steal sound channels from the music, which silences the instruments and it can be pretty distracting, and some of them sound worse. The tracks themselves don't sound as great as the NES tracks, one notable example is the title screen has this one out of place bloop which always cracks me up, like how do you mess it up? Not to say the tracks themselves are bad, but the overall sound programming is just not that good.

One big positive is that the pogo jumping can be activated by simply holding the B button instead of B+Down like in NES ver, which is much simpler and feels nicer.

Overall though I can still recommend this version, as it does feature unique level design, and its still good fun, not very long and not very difficult.

I definitely played this version first instead of the proper NES classic. I remember Scrooge controlling as nicely as NES, then idk, maybe it's just my memories.

It never reaches the heights of the NES game, but at the time it was as good as portable conversions go. Still quite enjoyable as it offers a very similar experience.

A little slower than the nes version and the music isnt as amazing. But the game is still very fun and plays well on the monochrome machine. A good game that you have in your Gameboy collection.

Pretty fun platformer on the gameboy. Using the cane to attack is very satisfying.

The classic game on Game Boy, and it was just as fun as the NES version.
