honestly found it kind of impressive for how well it translated the core gameplay despite the visuals.

Only thing that does not make it worse, the sprites are funny as fuck

this game illustrates the folly of man and it's judgement of other creatures it deems lesser only to find themselves becoming said lesser beings in the face of a being that takes all which man loves

thus the hero's journey begins as he ascends in his journey to the promised land, and through trials he overcometh the beast that is known as donkey kong

dude it's an atari game idk what else to tell you

No, this game does NOT suck. You guys are just mad Billy Mitchell has a higher score than you. Grow up.

I'm sure back in the day this was fine but playing this version nowadays is rough. It's still Donkey Kong so it's still kinda fun but there's no reason to play this over the arcade or nes version

This was like the only game I'd play on the 2600 as a wee lad. Never finished it but I remember playing it a lot. I have a very distinct memory of having the console and TV set up on top of a piano and playing Donkey Kong in front of some other kid to show him my mad gamer skills.

He never talked to me again. Must have been traumatized.

It works. Game is ugly and has a whopping 2 whole stages. Definitely a playable game on the 2600 but thats literally about it.

So played this on an Emulator for my first game for RetroAchievements. So it's a super barebones version of Donkey Kong, with two levels and no music. It at least controls well, and looks pretty nice for the system I guess. Reason I give two and half is cause it was fun, though only lasted about an hour or so to get all the achievements.

Eu te amo DK feito de bosta eu te amo.

There is literally no reason to play this over the arcade version, but it actually works kinda alright on this console.

well, there was sort of an attempt

juego platinado en retroachievements.

Not all that bad considering it was programmed under massive time and ROM space constraints, but it's still a lackluster port all the same

Don't forget we're talking about an Atari 2600 videogame, but it is definitely boring.

Não dá pra esperar muito do querido Atari 2600, mas que esse jogo é bem chato, isso é.
