I knew i would be crying at the end of this at the end from the art and description and it delivered on that.

Overall: 7.8/10 (8) game, 9/10 visual novel.

Gameplay: 5/10
Story/Narrative: 7/10
Graphics/Visuals: 10/10
Audio/Soundtrack: 9/10

pretty good but it's first half lacks in it's pacing, could have been way shorter but the second half is great stuff.

Short visual novel, around 10~ hours.
Uhh i don't know what to say about Eden*, the characters are kinda bland, i didn't like 1 single character and i played the 18+ so i've seen everything, the story is ok i guess even if i didn't like the ending. I love the "dynamic movement" they used in the visuals but that's all, not worth it.

I'm aware it's mostly due to my lack of experience reading VNs, but I liked it. mimori's style is very noticeable, with plenty of CG and sprites shown in unconventional ways. And I wasn't expecting the whole first half when I first bought the game so that was a nice surprise.

I find it funny how I probably won't remember the game the years after, despite the characters' wishes.

Eden deals with sensible topics such as despair, love, hope and struggle against fate in the most barebone way possible. It is hard to find fault in a story which plays exactly like you know it will play, after all arguing how novelty and originality matter when judging a story is subjective to how much one knows about the genre and the tropes at hand. Eden constantly plays it safe, never trying to explore unknown territories in an all too familiar and stale genre.

It is difficult to evaluate it purely as a visual novel, since it uses narrative and graphics techniques which resemble an animated series, with shift in perspective, lip sync, close-up etc. and, given the general (subpar) quality of the narration and the dialogues, we could equally associate it to anime and manga and not lose much in the comparison. The list of works that deal with what Eden* tries to narrate is boundless, and arguably each one of those has greater character and precision, just accounting for the Japanese industry; studio minori does not try in any way to revitalize the formula and instead discards any possibility towards new horizons to get back on the safe tracks of the mainstream.

Are you satisfied with a flat, predictable plot where some music and a few tears shed are enough to stir up a mirror reaction of sadness in you, leaving aside any substance of emotion and with a side dish of unfunny and boring anime clichés? By all means, take a seat and enjoy your journey, this visual novel has been designed exactly for you.

Pretty cute story in a setting which I think could give a good fight to one of the most romantic settings of a romance story by mankind. It's the type of story where the main act structure and most events are almost entirely obvious from the first few scenes, but it was still very comfy to see it play out to the end. (Surprisingly for me considering how vanilla it is, I feel like I still need some more time to internalize it, so it might be a bit deeper than I made it out to be.)

Unlike other short drama VNs like Narcissu or Planetarian I feel like more effort was put into making every character memorable and likable. I liked just about every characters' role in the story and they all played an interesting part.

The ending was somewhat predictable but just about every scene around it was interesting to me. It made the build up to it good anyway.

There were some cool presentation features like some nice BGM, moving mouth flaps and the PROTAG BEING VOICED (big big big plus).

I feel like the romance was a tad rushed but given how short the VN was and the situation I was a little forgiving of that part. The dramatic moments of the visual novel were a good mix of being poignant but without being melodramatic or overdone.

This is my 2nd visual novel type of game to play with, and honestly it was okay

Heartfelt romance story, don't remember much of it.
