It tries to do a layered hallway thing for a 3D effect, but the sprites are so massive that it just ends up being an annoying shooter where you don't see what you're fighting half the time.

Playing Through My Evercade Collection Part 14: Atari Lynx Collection 2

Oh good we're back to this nonsense again. What is up with Lynx games and oversized sprites being hit by things charging in from offscreen. This is a mess of a game with ugly graphics, messy sound design and clunky unplayable gameplay with incomprehensible design all-round. So another tech demo that should have stayed a tech demo.

Pretty interesting multi-plane shooter.

This game isn't great, but has a pretty unique mechanic of moving in Z/ in and out of the level instead of just a traditional sidescroller. The computers don't just open doors either, there are versions of breakout and asteroids on there which is impressive for a small handheld game!

Sadly, it's shooting mechanics are clunks and you'll easily get lost trying to find door codes. Worth a look for 5-10 mins (or a whole hour, which is the time you are given to complete the whole game, gotta love a time limit!).

This was technically well made, and looked kind of interesting, but was also vague and obtuse enough to discourage me from getting too far into it.
