I didn't like this as much at first but after logging some hours with it turns out to be really fun. I gained a new appreciation for warfare in the industrial era.

It doesn't run very well on my modern PC. TCA seems to have a problem with optimization.
The first good Total War with proper firearm combat. Tons of campaigns, DLC and more gameplay than you'll ever finish.
The best setting and time period with good battles but it wasted alot of its potencial. Game felt really big at firdt but then you felt it really wasnt and judt looked big. Really ambitious but didnt live up to the hype. Still glad it brought me back to the franchise.

Probably the most underrated Total War game. It's way better than it gets credit for.
Pretty good! The time period is not my favorite but I was on a map completion run with the Maratha Confederacy for a while and that was a lot of fun to do.
glitched missions and couldnt continue but finally sunk some hours into it. probably not missing much on a full campaign
Coming from playing the Warhammer games and then going back to older Total War titles was hard. The graphics aren't as good, they systems less polished and the battles less dynamic.
That being said this is by far the best historical total war game i've played as of yet. The setting is wonderful, the diplomacy interesting, the campaigns engaging, it has a lot going for it.

I could've seen myself having hundreds of hours in this game, Unfortunately its diplomacy and politics just aren't what I'm looking for in a strategy game.
The battles are fantastic though I really wish I could've grasped the diplomacy of the game and get a full play through on it.

Its aight. Definitely not the best total war game. The best colonial strategy game that I've played is Age of Empires 3. Would rather play that instead.
I know to many this is one of the worst Total War games, which is why I'm giving 3.5 stars, but honestly I do really enjoy this game as it was my first total war game and when I played it, I had no problems with it. I would still recommend it easily, so please go try it out.

Playing a giant campaign as France was amazing. It would take forever though. I don't think I ever finished a game, yet it was still enjoyable. Sheer scale of the map was breathtaking. However, it's disappointing that you can't play as the US colonies in a grand campaign.
