Look I can commend the devs for trying to create a "simple" fighting game but you can also practically hear them going
"Oh wittle baby, no no no you can't have optwin Swewects and wearn combos they'll hurt your wittle head poor baby, you don't need to go into training mode. Awwww poor baby you need your bottle of milk wittle scrub???"
Straight up most condescending fighting game of all time and plays like garbo, I promise anyone who is interested in fighting games that you can pick up anything else instead if you put your mind into it. Don't do this to yourself, please.

I only played the F2P version, I did not shell out for the $20 Core Pack, because I honestly do not care at all about these characters; all of whom are painfully bland to look at and listen to. Not ONE single character in this game has an ounce of drip, every one of them look and sounds incredibly generic. All the music tracks and stages as well are both painfully plain. Despite this, FS is still a half-decent babby's first fighting game; though you'll experience everything this game has to offer after just an hour or so of playing. It DOES have roll-back however, so that's a plus.
On one hand, the feeling that you're butting heads with a games skill ceiling an hour after starting it up can be a pretty bad feeling. On the other hand, holy shit me and my homies laugh our asses off and lose our minds playing this together, it's a lot of fun in it's madness. The biggest issue here is the aforementioned skill ceiling, it's missing a lot of that hard to quantify magic sauce known as depth. I think there is absolutely a place for games like Fantasy Strike, but I think games like it would have more staying power if they tried to provide access to depth instead of simplifying depth. Even the most popular online games kids play like Fortnite have an immense well of depth in strategy and design compared to this games.
Thanks for using Rollback.
