I'm a sucker for beat'em up games and I love Jojo so I had to check this out. I wasn't really disappointed.

First I should say I played this with an English translation patch but even then as long as you watched\read part 5 you can pretty much understand what's going on the whole time.

The game does a decent enough job of following Part 5's plot. Pretty much each level is a different stand boss fight. Your goal is to find either the trick to beat the enemy or just beat the shit out of them.

The game has a variety of characters you play as that can play pretty differently. There's some characters that only get like 1 level which is crazy they even bothered to do that. Back in the PS2 era devs really were willing to make one and done mechanics.

The bulk of the gameplay is just beating your enemy. Either with your fist or your stand. The stands make for some fun combos since it can kind of feel like separate character helping you out. There's also special events you can trigger that happen if you recreate scenes from the manga. Although it can feel like bullshit the way you trigger some of them. The scenes are cool to have since it rewards fans with a little bit of extra content.

Honestly if you wanted an interesting game adaptation of Jojo's I would say you should check this out.

Esse jogo é tão injusto que me deu preguiça de zerar (declaro todo o meu ódio ao Man In The Mirror)

played this one during my Jojo phase very interesting if only for how they use the stands in this game
i own this one physically and its honestly a great conversation starter especially if the person only really knows Jojo as anime

soy giorno giovanna y tengo sueño

É legal de se jogar e é fiel ao mangá porém não é o melhor jogo de Jojo que tem pra se jogar

This game is so insanely hard wtf also I want to marry Abbacchio

Short, sweet, monotonous yet satisfying.
You get to play as the entire main cast so their abilities mix things up for the short duration, the story is carried out very faithfully and the way the art style is replicated really makes it feel like the manga.
Music is great, presentation is as well and there isn't a shortage of extra content with the what if scenarios and unlockables

really wish we got more jojo beat em ups like this going forward after phantom blood. all star battle and eyes of heaven are totally fine for fanservice, but playing through an entire part will always be cool. the ps1 port of hftf pulls it off pretty decently with some special fights and segments, but 3d beat em ups with completely unique levels and sections just make more sense for the series going past part 3 that have more diverse stands/settings that aren't simple enough to translate into a 2d fighter setting.

just imagining the fact that we could've had ps3 stone ocean and (maybe ps4) steel ball run games with even more polish is bumming me out. (a part 4 game would also be dope as shit but im just going based off the fact that this was developed after part 5's completion and the phantom blood game was just because it was the series anniversary) if you think about it we would probably be getting a jojolion game now if we kept the pattern going

Phenomenal game. Was nice to revisit Part 5, and the gameplay actually ran really smooth which was surprising. Graphics were pretty neat, I liked the artstyle they went with, and the cutscenes were really well done! Really fun!

Surprisingly pretty good. It's not as technical or mechanically deep as Devil May Cry but it's still a fun game and it makes up for it's simple combat with bosses that require you to actually approach them carefully instead of simply charging in and button mashing.

The game also does a solid job of retelling the story of Vento Aureo, although it's not perfect as it does skip several chapters and Koichi's missing entirely but it doesn't suffer from Harry Potter game syndrome and tries to tell the story it's adapting well.

Music is good, it looks nice thanks to the cel-shading, and it's an overall fun and solid game.

É bem repetitivo e sem tatica, mas é um jogo bom, bonito, a trilha é maneira e segue bem a historia
