Yess, I remember I played this during a summer of two decades ago. It was funny and addictive since I never had any chance or friend with the game and guitars for trying it.

Everytime i look at one i get the urge to piss on the guitar's strumbar

Whenever I see this in an arcade, I just have to play. It's a necessity.

For some reason, there's no marker on the middle (yellow) fret, meaning when you're shifting your hand up and down, you could get easily lost. Other than that, it is exactly what you think it is.

I laughed out loud, shocked, at two things:

- This has The Arsonist by Thrice on it!! What an absolute killer track to blast with 8-year-olds and their moms running around
- Billy Corgan expects you to pay $4 extra for the privilege of playing Cherub Rock

you are now thinking about how sticky those buttons are on the one at your local arcade. mmmm sticky sticky schlick

It's Guitar Hero (specifically built off of Guitar Hero III, which to me is the best one), so of course, I make a beeline for it when I see it at an arcade because it's fun.

With that said, the guitars they use on these machines SUCK. Poorly manufactured and bound to be even worse thanks to constant arcade play wearing them down. Pray that the arcade you play this at has some kind of stool you can sit on because they are also very heavy. Try playing Surfing With The Alien on Expert at one of these things; those trill sections will be devilish.

Best Guitar Hero game in an arcade. Guitars are similar to PlayStation 3 Guitar Hero guitar controllers. Layout is extremely similar to Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, just in arcade form.

I played this while on vacation once without having played guitar hero before so I didn’t know you were supposed to strum and was confused why I failed so quickly.

It's Guitar Hero III, but it's in an arcade. I remember it feeling off sync.
