I think leaving your emotional hook on a character that shows up and dotes on your self-insert for an hour just so you can kill them off is a brave move if only because I sat there stone-faced wondering what was even trying to be done
I came back for BS and was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed this patch. HUUGGEEEEE improvement over the Xianzhou. I can only hope it keeps up the same level of quality with later instalments
This update was so good I HAD to log it here, what an incredible experience from start to finish, felt every type of emotion and more
After being kind of underwhelmed with where the Luofu storyline ended up, I'm cautiously optimistic about where Penacony will go. Already there's a lot more imaginative work on display - the concept of a world of dreams with sinister underpinnings is presented in a fascinating way, from the main storyline's last minute rug pull to the side missions diving deep into individuals trying and failing and trying again to find their own meaning in a dream that might already by falling apart. This is the most excited I've been for the story in a long while. Here's hoping the devs stick the landing!

Day six. I have styled my phone's homescreen using image-displaying widgets to display pictures of Firefly. I got through a particularly tough day of work without the use of any stimulants by thinking about Firefly. I have discussed Firefly's status on internet messaging apps for at least 5.3k words. I have approximately 192 pulls saved up in the event that I can eventually use them to obtain Firefly. Youtube recommends me an average of three Firefly-related videos per refresh.

They don't waste your time with super long exposition and kinda thrust you into a beautiful new environment that continues to raise interesting questions. As well as the fun new things they are trying with puzzles and enemies and navigation overall. It feels like a breath of fresh air and new ideas. It's awesome.

Bruh I'm actually giving a hoyoverse game an almost perfect score... I LOVE penacony, I really liked vibing here the first hours of this arc. The story was actually interesting and I loved how unique this arc was. I didn't expect this to be so good I just picked game up again because I was curious how it has evolved since then, I'm glad I did it. This arc is the best one yet and I'm curious how it'll continue, when the next update comes I'll be there at day ONE!!! It took me 3 days to get here actually, I stopped playing a few hours in the jarilo arc when the game first released.

I was really excited to visit Penacony and see where the story for it would go, the former was such a great experience, exploring the planet and meeting the new characters, but for the latter, I enjoyed it until the last part of it, which did really sour my experience with this update, hopefully 2.1's story will be better than 2.0's

i can’t lie they kinda knocked it out of the park on this one. my main gripe with hoyoverse for years has been a complete lack of originality and borderline thievery of other games’ ideas, but penacony feels like the first time they’ve made something that feels truly original to them. the world isn’t even complete yet and it’s already fun and filled with intrigue. not to mention all the QoL changes and great updates from 1.0 to 2.0. we’re not even at a year yet and HSR has already evolved into hoyoverse’s best project by far.

Penacony is an amazing world with beautiful asthetics and setting, the design of penacony is great, the new music is fire, the new changes are very good, new gameplay elements and new puzzle, all add great value to the game, the voice acting is good English and japanese but especially japanese voice acting the tone the emotion in the voice, it's just the first part of penacony story and it's that good, good pacing with no long boaring storytelling, the theme of penacony is fantastic between the reality and dreams , the new characters all have their own personalities and motives, that make the story interesting, firefly was an amazing character for example, the story now is more matured, the dialogues were fun , the side content is a lot, and the 2 Boss fights were amazing

A promising opening act! Lots of interesting setup being done in the story, here's hoping it actually has a satisfying payoff this time. Also, the map design and visuals are about as surreal as a dream world should be, which is a nice surprise.

I had no expectations coming in into penacony's story because I was afraid of it turning into inazumas story quests in genshin because it was rushed badly and all I can say is penacony's a great way to start out 2.0 with a bang it's got everything a well written story that isn't just filler like we have been getting for months now and I'm so glad that star rails story is great again
As soon as I started the main quest my hatred for the previous arc grew exponentially. Goddamn I never wanna see those stupid fucking yaoi boys ever again.
