Really relaxing game with beautiful graphics. Rowing around islands in the storm, in the artic or deep in the jungles just looks amazing.

An incredible VR game with beautiful graphics but that's really about it. As a game you're better off just appreciating the view rather than getting stuck into the competitive time trial mode.

Beautiful game but not really much too it.

Kayak VR: Mirage is a short, somewhat clunky kayaking simulator. The locations are well-chosen and beautiful, but pretty small and sparsely populated. Tracks are well designed but there are only a few and they don't seem to explore the full range of possible kayaking experiences, perhaps because the controls are not precise enough to make more demanding courses fun.

It's been many years since I sat in a kayak, but the controls in this game struck me as a bit finicky. Using the motion controllers to simulate a paddle is brilliant, but I occasionally found my kayak jerking to the side unexpectedly, especially at high speeds. The leaning simulation seemed to work unintuitively and more often hindered than helped. As a result I found that I had no motivation to pursue the higher level medals. Overall this game is a good cardio workout but without a lot to do other than slowly chip away at your track times.

I poked a fish with the paddle. Just like in real life. Except in real life I'm not in Norway.
