At times, Kingdom Hearts III feels like an amusement park, it can be fun if you don't take it seriously, but damn it does not make any sense whatsoever.
The biggest problem in my opinion, is the fact it's not self aware, it's a story full of uninteresting plot points, boring villains and overly long cutscenes that exist only to make the game last longer.
The characters' motivations are complete nonsense, the entire goal of the game is literally nothing, because nothing gets explained. A large portion of the game feels pointless, and leaves you wondering why are you even playing this game.
That being said, I actually enjoyed some parts, in fact I really liked the magnificent worlds you visit throughout the game, they look great and every single one of them feels unique.
The gameplay is a fairly easy and simple, and there are some cool mini-games that add some charm to the game. Also the boss fights are decent, and the soundtrack is genuinely beautiful as expected.
Personally I expected something more, because this is nothing more than just an very mediocre videogame experience that doesn't really have anything exceptional to offer, just a silly little adventure.
Final Rating: "Average" ~ 5/10.

Kingdom Hearts II is a tough act to follow, and unfortunately I don’t think this finale managed it alone. Falling short of perfection is more than alright in this case, however. Despite its looser combat, fewer worlds, and notable character exclusions, I think Kingdom Hearts III is a worthy send off to this series’ first major arc. If you managed to come this far in the series, you’ll want to see this one to the end.

(Review for KH3 + re mind dlc)
Base game is very fun, while it was easy even on Proud, I enjoyed going through the worlds and it felt like they were the perfect length, and I really liked the selection of worlds, my favorites being Monsters Inc and Toy Box. My biggest complaint on that is the lack of very many Disney bosses, not a huge thing but something that I hope is more prominent next game. The story’s conclusion I thought was very appropriately climactic, and while I think it’s unsatisfying you don’t fight any of the Organization members throughout the bulk of the story, the ending sequence where you fight them all, and then the ‘Nort Court’ is undeniably very cool. The combat is distinct from the prior games, and it’s very fun in its own right. Being able to move while casting magic alone is one of the best changes, airstep is fantastic (though mostly in the context of the dlc) and I liked the different keyblade forms for variety. Overall, KH3 on its own is good, it has some issues and misses some series conventions but a very fun experience.
Re mind was something I had no idea what to expect going in, and in terms of the story content yeah I really didn’t care for that given I did it two days after I beat the main game. Going through the ending again albeit playing as different characters for some fights and the story additions lead to some VERY high highs, but was too much of the same and I wish they went about it differently. Limit Cut Episode put me through the ringer fighting against the Data Organization but it was absolutely what this game needed, a set of battles that push me to use my kit and it’s absolutely fantastic for that, great fights all around leading to the most fun boss in the series in Yozora. I would buy Verum Rex. Fantastic DLC overall and I’m very curious to see what’s next for the seri- what do you mean I have to play a rhythm game next.

Endgame feels like a fever dream. Like actually what happened? You go to some random upside down, left-right floating in the air labyrinth to fight Organization 13 and then when you fight Xehanort he turns into a goat??? And then his opposite comes and what is even happening?
I might just need Kingdom Hearts knowledge but still what the hell?
