Fantastic gameplay and pretty middling story. There's effectively no story at all until the final couple hours, in which they wrap up nearly every single loose thread like they forgot homework was due that day. Overall fine enough and excited about where the series is going.

Woody from Toy Story told a white haired anime man that he has no friends which is pretty badass.

the game series (or the last "saga") started bc of devs taking a big risk and ended with devs playing it very very safe. game fun, but ending sux

Despite all it's shortcomings, the finale (especially the 4 hour boss rush) had me consistently crying. By the time don't think twice hit it's second half and Kairi was alone, shit just hit me hard. I've kept up with this series since it's inception and I have changed so much in that time, lost touch with so many friends, went to college etc.

It just strikes a cord with me that only this game (series in general) has.

Story is still as convoluted as ever. Exploring Disney worlds is fun and all, but the game definitely tries to make itself out to be far deeper than it really is.

This was a disappointment. Most of the Disney worlds feel bland and soulless (not the Toy Story one, that shit rocks) and the actual "Kingdom Hearts" part of the story is predictable to the point that it just feels like going through the motions. The game on any non-DLC difficulty level is far too easy and it really takes away from the battle systems. Side content pales in comparison to KH2. The new gummi ship stuff is cool, at least initially, but isn't that impressive after a while.

PLEASEEEE, DON'T MAKE A, SHIT GAME

The worst game I've played in recent memory and I've played the majority of Kingdom Hearts games. The best thing about it is I never want to play another Kingdom Hearts game again after finishing it.

the Pirates of the Caribbean level was a blast but that's really all that's worth remembering about this game.

The Disney Worlds finally have enough detail and thought to be mostly interesting to traverse and look at. However the improvements mostly stop there. Between KH2 and KH3 the story has gone completely fucked even more than ever before. The game is plagued by uninteresting cutscenes, strange decisions, and an overall lack of satisfying elements. The core gameplay loop has gotten a bit fucked but is still mostly fine, the attractions are absolutely meaningless additions and the links are utterly useless and forgetful. The game is just a mix of strange decisions built upon the past strange decisions. Also the ending takes way too fucking long.

Nomura no te mereces mis lágrimas.

watched my sister play. very confusnig!

Esto tiene trampa porque las últimas horas me han dejado buen sabor de boca pero si nos ponemos justos es un juego irregular. El combate es gñé, la trama avanza como siempre a trompicones. En lo técnico y artístico muy bien. No sé. Buen juego pero no MUY bien

one of my favorite sentences is "Kingdom Hearts III is the tenth main installment in the Kingdom Hearts series."

Nier: Automata eat your fucking heart out

the thing is i hate the story but not for the reason that anyone else does so i am simply stuck between a rock and a hard place. the union x scene is cool tho bro

I kinda hate the story except for the very end but the gameplay and world design was really a major step up after playing the mobile titles that I definitely like this game more than I should

3.5 for "when's 3.5 ReMix" :^)

In all seriousness, I don't think any of the worlds capture the magic from previous titles, but it's still a good game, and hell if the whole ending isn't great.

Simultaneously disappointing and surprising in different areas. Personally not what I wanted as a long time fan of series, but across multiple playthroughs, I've come to respect how it shows certain areas of the series at their best.

On the bright side, I don't think I've ever been more excited for the future of the series than I am now. And thankfully, the DLC is the best part of the game.

I love all the games of kingdom hearts but I really hate this with all my might, and it's painful for me.

Flawed, and I didn’t get everything I wanted, but at least it’s here.

The "Long awaited" Kingdom Hearts 2 sequel that people weren't actually waiting all that long for because there were multiple game in between this and 2 that people could have played but didn't because those games are "spin offs". I mean. It was fun. Way too short, the plot was backloaded into one world basically and the majority of the run time is filler. The Shadow Aqua boss fight was pretty killer, though.
