I played this one a couple of times and it was fun, wasn't actually half bad. It is a platformer but it had a fuck ton of minigames with like every single character and pretty much every character from the movie was playable at some point.
Idk, I don't feel comfortable giving it more than 3 stars. But yeah, you can do way worse than this.

I have no idea of what's the overall opinion on both of the Madagascar tie-in games, but in my personal experience, I had a better time with the second entry.
From what I recall, this one is more varied than the previous game, also being a platformer but with some minigames included. Honestly, I'm not sure how far I actually got, but I've more memories of it than the previous one.
It's by all means still a cheap and mediocre tie-in, I just happened to enjoy it ever so slightly more than its predecessor. Once again, go for it if you enjoy shovelware.

No recuerdo una mierda menos por el ajedrez, los minijuegos de los monos y el boss final, pero estaba guapo creo.
Pedazo de vicios me metia con este juego de chiquillo, lo recuerdo increible y con un minijuego de ajedrez táctico.

I remember playing this game when i was a child, i thought this game was so good back then, but now i see that he is not as good as i remembered.

This game had some crazy completion requirements, with you having to find and collect all 50 monkeys throughout the game in order to get the true ending. I could never do it as a kid as I, one, didn't have the attention span, and, two, some of said monkeys were extremely well hidden and a pain to obtain. This game was also developed by Toys For Bob, the same studio that would go on to develop Crash Bandicoot 4, a game infamous for its collectables and how much of a nightmare it is to fully complete.

The Madagascar 2 Wii game is so bland in my opinion, not saying it was mid but it was just mediorce due to the challenges in every level being so useless, the character designs are not that great and of course the minigames being just that bad as it is, i still like the game but i would say the only Pros is that the music is sweet, the gameplay is cool, and the ending is a bit decent.
I for some reason remember sobbing at the end of this game i think I just love those penguins
