One of the best improvement patches out there. It's so commendable how well the added content blends in, and the QoL for the rest of the game makes going back to the original an impossibility for me now.

Geo Stellar+Omega-Xis= Mah boy

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This is fantastic, literally the best way to play the first Star Force game, even just the sheer number of QoL improvements makes it worth playing even if you ignore all the reimplemented and newly added things.

Like many others, this patch pushed me to try out this game for the first time.

Coming from Battle Network, this game feels unusual, but it has its own unique charms. It certainly retains the usual writing charms I love the EXE series for, and the battle system has its own interesting takes that keep battles interesting. The game adds plenty of QoL changes compared to EXE and I'm grateful for that.
Overall, I enjoyed my playthrough, and I do plan on playing the next two games at some point in the future.

Best way to play this game now, so much fun. Omega-Xis is so good.

(not in that way you freaks)

Mega Man Star Force is a gem from the Nintendo DS (Considering I never played Battle Network) as it has a great story, with nice and great characters (just has a bit of filler in certain parts), a great, beautiful (but small) Soundtrack, and a great Gameplay, as it revolves about dodging the enemies attacks and attack at the correct moment with your cards to destroy the enemies, and even if it doesn't have a level up system (Games that comes to mind could be like, Paper Mario Sticker Star) at least Money is useful here and the battles are so fun that I wasn't running away from battles often, the unique down side could be his difficulty when you replay the game, as it is so much easier now than you probably started, touch controls, a problem if you play the game in not original hardware, and the splitting of content, that, even if is small (mostly the transformations), is still something
But hey I didn't talk about what DX brings, DX is a patch for Mega Man Star Force that tries to make the game feel more like his Star Force 3 counter-part, with some Quality of Life improvements, and the combination of all the content that was splitted between the 3 versions being united into one game, and of top of that it adds extra content, like bringing some cards that were just part of the Japanese Version, an extra save slot, and the most important one, if you want to have more replayibility out of the game, Legend Mode is the way to go, beause is a mode (that can be activated in any moment) that makes the game harder in his own way
Without a doubt, if you played the original Star Force, or you are new to this series, DX is for you, as it gives something to the experiment players, and Quality of life changes for people who want to experience this game for the first time

Story wise SF1 is my favorite of the trilogy by far, but its original release is definitely held back by that "early DS jank" gameplay. Thankfully, this patch fixes basically all of the issues I had with it, as well as providing a number of additional much-welcome improvements. Legend mode is no joke either, it's a fun challenge for series veterans who might find the base game a little too trivial.

The best and only version of SF1 you should be playing. It's gonna be hard going back to vanilla SF1 in a future collection with this being released

an amazing hack that completely revamps star force 1 from a decent, but rough game into a fantastic experience that is almost as amazing as star force 3. cannot recommend this enough to any star force fan
