Unrivaled player expression in fighting games. Constant adjustments on the fly from timing, spacing, baiting and reacting to your opponent's options. The rebeat system allows for huge amounts of variation and player expression in offense, and the movement does as well. It is the most "player vs. player" fighting game out there; you can get very far without learning knowledge checks
An extraordinary game. Accessible to newcomers due to its simple characters and understandable combo system while still providing an entertaining experience for those who wish to dive deeper. The fact that the version with the rollback is free also helps bring in newcomers and i often use this game to teach new players the basics of anime fighters. H-Ryougi is life.
In spite of the characters themselves not really fitting what is expected of fighting game character design (Aoko is peak unironically) it sports some of the most fun movement mechanics in the genre not from a platform fighter and a freeform pressure system that has a lot of room for experimentation. F Aoko is a very unique take on a shoto that I enjoy and I also really enjoy the setplay potential of F Nanaya or being a big hitbox menace with C Nero and the setup potential of C Roa. Also sports the best soundtrack of the genre. Be sure to play the community addition for rollback if you want to play online.
Actively played this for about 2 years. It's actually a very fun game with tons of characters and 3 distinct playstyles for each character, allowing for tons of player expression. The characters are very visually distinct and have very drastic strengths and weaknesses.
The movement of this game is so damn addicting, it makes you wish other games were like it.
The game's pretty unbalanced, with certain characters way better than others. However, at least for the European scene, most people play whichever character they find fun, and not whichever character is the strongest or highest on the tierlist or anything. From what I've heard, over in NA there's a lot more people playing the high tier characters, but this is hearsay - not personal experience.
The game's pretty dead though, and requires you to use Discord to find any games at all. Over the years the community has had some issues, and it is now fractured, making it even more annoying to actually play the game. This is actually what led to me stop playing it, alongside the release of the newer game Melty Blood Type Lumina, which killed our existing playerbase even more.
Easily the best fighting game OST in my opinion. Rhythmical bustle is the official tournament theme.
Wlen is cute! Wara is cute!

back alley white girl fight with @Flee_Fleet goes crazy
Very fun to play with my one friend that plays this but this game huuuuuurts my hands. The hitstop on combos is non-existent so you have to mash the fuck out of buttons super fast to do anything. Also this game has a weird issue where you dash/backdash half the time you try to do DP/reverse-DP inputs. Better game than Type Lumina though.
