Monopoly is awful unless you've never played any other board game before. This game doesn't solve that issue, but is a competent translation of the game to Windows.

The only reason this game's stuck in my head over the millions of other Monopoly ports is the soundtrack. It's not NES Pictionary, but Frank Klepacki's work is still much more effort than this game required. Most aspects of this game have a similar level of quality. The animations are nice. The level of customization, especially for the time is decent. Netplay exists and because of the nature of the game, plays relatively well. None of this effort allows the game to transcend past being a bad board game, but it's still a port worth considering almost 30 years later.

We got this in cereal boxes in NZ and I must have played this for hours!
I think Westwood brought a lot of life to this game with the FMV and fantastic music.

Westwood definitely put a lot of love into this. Unfortunately no matter how in-depth the options are and how fun the presentation is, Monopoly is still Monopoly and a chore to play.
