They need to make more games like this and I need an original copy of this one again 😩💔

While it's probably my favorite monster rancher and is for sure my most played, I don't know if it surpassed 2. But it played differently enough that it definitely warrants a playthrough. I've also put 100s of hours into this game as a kid and never beat it whoops.

Don't fuck with Monster Rancher fans

Theres only five of us

This game fucking slaps and I love it. Can't go above a 4 because of how infuriating combat can be, but the whole formula of making monsters from disks, raising them, taking them to tournaments, and progressing through dungeons with them is an absolute dream.

By far the strongest Monster Rancher I've had the pleasure to play. Nothing compared to the joy of staying up until 2 am, the texture of the carpet pressed into my knees as I swap every single laser disc I could find in the house, eager to round out my encyclopedia with more and more weird monsters.

There's a game beyond it, yeah! It's pretty nice. Dungeons are a refreshing (if redundant) alternative to the "training to tournament" feedback loop.

Easily my favorite in the series. Lots of changes and additions that aim to keep the game fresh and fun, such as dungeon exploration, training up to 5 monsters at once, new battle mechanics and a customizable ranch to cater to specific stats for your monsters. I always got bored early on in the other games but this was very enjoyable

Super fun game, need to come back and finish it

Could have been raw goated kino amazing awesomesauce on par with the other hits of the franchise, but the whole "raise multiple monsters at a time also no more training cutscenes" really, REALLY digs at me.

One of the most slept-on series ever. So sad it wouldn't work in today's world. Truly a relic of time.
