I imagine this is exactly what it is like working at a gas station. More specifically, a gas station that is just called GAS. You catch oil, you dump oil in a barrel, the oil probably goes into the infinite space of the cars at the bottom, and this is why gas prices are outrageous nowadays.

Game #144

To be blunt, Oil Panic seems like one of those games that should've more fun than it was. Like all other Game and Watch games, it's an extremely simple game where on the top screen you try to collect oil and on the bottom screen you try to toss the oil to the Mr. Game & Watch below you.

Game A and Game B are the exact same with Game B starting off faster which I finds benefits this game a lot. Game A with how slow it is can have really poor timing for trying to get the oil below and it doesn't feel like your fault, but rather poor game design in terms of that area. In Game B, the timings match up a lot better, it isn't perfect, but it's a solid improvement.

Despite, my negativity to this game somewhat this game is still fun and addictive. It's just I feel it is less so compared to other Game & Watch games and gets more repetitive quickly as it is a faster game overall even on A.

Overall, this game is fine it's something that exists and it is fun for the most part. It does what it's trying to do as an essentially calculator-hardware game pretty well though I recommend if someone were to play this game to try Game B over Game A.

It's got more layers to it than say Octopus, but it feels like the interactivity and communication of the two screen functionality could have been improved more.
