Not as good as Tetris 99, and the format is getting a bit stale. also a little weird to kill off mario 35 for this to take its place, but it works decently. Kinda difficult to break attention from the core pacman gameplay to focus on countering or going offensive against other players, but if you just play pacman well, you don't have too much trouble with it.
Battle royale doesn't work really well with Pac-Man for a couple of reasons: Tetris 99 is quick, fast and so are the matches. Pacman 99 requires the player to spend a lot of attention and time for a single match, so it doesn't suit itself for long sessions. Not only that, but being attacked by another player directly slows you down, which affects the player's input and that's not fun.
It was alright while it lasted, RIP.

This game should be a lot of fun but it's just a little fun. The worst mistake this game made was changing too many things. When things show up on your screen in Tetris 99 or Super Mario Bros. 35, the core gameplay is basically unchanged, you just have more chaos to deal with. In this game, you're constantly taken away from the fun Pac-Man gameplay to eat mini-ghosts and a bunch of other stuff that I couldn't care less about. What made the first two battle royale-style games so fun is adding replayability and chaos to a formula that already worked well. Here, they tried to fix what wasn't broken, and I think they failed. It's still fun, it's still Pac-Man, but unlike some other games in this "series," I see no reason to play this over the original game its based on, and as such it's by far my least played one so far.
