I ABANDONED MY PIKMIN, THEY ARE DEAD! I CAN'T GO BACK!

It’s a fine enough game that encourages walking, but comparing it to Pokémon Go and it really falters.

Pokémon Go manages to bring the gameplay of Pokémon and actually make it work and feel like Pokémon, while Pikmin Bloom feels pretty far from a Pikmin game and offers little to come back to.

The game is still fine though and isn’t bad by any means! The fact it introduced so many people to the best Nintendo series is amazing!

it’s alright, it’s like pokémon go but a lot less fun

best mobile game ever made and if u dont get it thats on u

While I certainly like the concept of Pikmin Blooms' mission statement of making the world prettier by planting more flowers on a virtual map, ultimately it just doesn't offer much excitement past the initial impression. Having played through the game for a bit and reaching level 16 I can safely say that I did all there is to actually do in Pikmin Bloom. Sure, I haven't completed a lot of the collections nor have I improved my walking all that much, but the game doesn't really try to reward you for doing those extra things.

You don't really get new items, interact with other players, or do any pikmin stuff really. A lot of this is kinda feed thru it's use of micro-transactions, and the game's consistent ability to hinder the player from getting more of anything. The mixture of not being able to acquire more things on top of the fact that you're doing a recycled game play loop means that getting bored of this game happens fast and suddenly. You get more pikmin so you can fight more mushrooms, you fight those mushrooms to get more saplings, you use those saplings to get more flowers, you then plant those flowers while you get your steps in to get more pikmin; rinse and repeat. There is no fun treasures to collect, no faster way to earn coins to unlock cosmic items, and no engaging combat. I get this is suppose to be a set it and forget it type of game, but that setting really makes me want to forget to play it.

Pikmin Bloom by all accounts is just an excuse to walk more, that doesn't really do much excitement when it comes to making you want to walk. The game has some interesting ideas and management systems, but they are all bogged down by mirco transactions and minimum design. If you like Pikmin, the game is certainly fun for a week and will get you walking a bit, but for the most part you be better off with Pokemon GO when it comes to an AR game on your phone. If this game gets an update to make the game more interesting I might hop back in at full force. For now tho? I'm glad I played it, and I'm kinda done with it.

FUN but my prehistoric phone can hardly run it anymore :SOB:

there's not much to do here but i like the music and the little plants

Pikmin as a concept works well for a cute little mobile game pedometer app. Simple and fun and lots of cute costumes to collect yet filled with the usual FOMO tactics and microtransactions expected from modern games.

I like this game more than other "step counter games" because Pikmin Bloom wants you to play it between walks instead of during walks. I don't want to pull my phone out and stop my walk to catch a pokemon or do a whole-ass Monster Hunter boss fight, I want to go for a walk and then check my phone when I get back so that my Pikmin can congratulate me for walking a certain number of steps.

Made me exercise and have fun times with my friendds

Incentiva muito a fazer exercícios e caminhadas

What am I even doing anymore.

Forgot about this game until now, but I NEED to tell y'all about where I was when this game came out:

Egypt. I was staying in a hotel across from the Great Pyramids of Giza on the day that Pikmin Bloom came out, and I made it my mission to be the first person to play Pikmin Bloom at the Great Pyramid itself. As much as I'd like to give myself that title, because I technically had the app open when I was at the pyramid, I didn't realize how there was gonna be practically no internet connection at all, so I never actually got to accomplish anything in the game while there. Still cool to say I was there though!

Here's the only Pikmin Picture I got on the trip

If that link doesn't work... oops!

I enjoy Pikmin Bloom more than I should.

I initially enjoyed Pokemon Go but after a while I found the game too overwhelming - namely catching Pokemon, variants of, engaging in gym battles, online battles and more.

I enjoy Pikmin Bloom because it has a basic gameplay loop. By walking you can collect more nectar to give to your Pikmin, your Pikmin bloom flowers and you can harvest these, go for a walk and plant flowers which also increases your step counter to pick more Pikmin. The raids are simple to understand, and I love comparing my decor Pikmin and where I've or we have been with my partner.

I hope they further improve the mission structure beyond walking tasks.

For what it is, I like it. If you want more systems Pokemon Go is your buddy.

its a virtual pet mixed with a pedometer and it helps motivate me to go for more walks. its awesome

I opened this game at least 3 times but I already had enough of my attention taken up by a couple of other mobile games. Cute, but I don't have any particular connection with Pikmin so it was easily forgettable.

no combat or caves so minus half a point

Shigeru Miyamoto's personal take after seeing Pokémon GO and made with the same developers. It's alright, satisfying and gives some positive message.
It does remind somehow it's a Pikmin game (with raid against mushrooms instead lol) while making you wish to actually play the real ones.
After a month or two you'll probably forget to have it on your phones.

I may love this silly little app but my god is it's economy wack.

A fun game to play in the background. im sure some would prefer it over Pokemon go. don't go in expecting any action whatsoever. you collect little pikmin outfits and plant flowers.

Really cute game, but I do not have time to be able to actually play this.

Really wanted this to replace pokemon go for me but when I have my max number of pikmin out it lags my phone HARD and I can't do anything, feel like this game isnt the best optomized.

I like Pikmin, but for my tastes, this game was not it. 5/10

The only live service game I care about. The only game I've ever developed my own meta for. I hope they add Glow and Ice Pikmin soon.
