Last time I played this must've been like 2004 with my brother. It was his game, and sometimes he wanted a real opponent, so we played hot-seat. I was terrible, I could never really get into racing games, especially simulators.

Thought I've grown since, but nope. It was too hardcore for me then, and it's too hardcore for me now. This is a game for true carheads, I can't understand half the shit it throws at me, and I lose every race.

The physics are amazing though. One of the best collision models I've seen. Different amounts of damage are dealt depending on the speed and the angle. I had some fun crashing into other cars to take them out and get ahead.

The sheer variety of international racing leagues is awe-inspiring. Jumping from American stock car racing to European touring sedans to Japanese tuner shoot-outs with unique tracks, cutscenes, and cars for each championship encompasses how insane of an accomplishment this game is. Unfortunately, the racing itself is ridiculously hard and the tracks are oddly small compared to their real life counterparts

A racing game with a story, which isn't the best but makes the game feel unique. You can race for different teams and accept invites to different tournaments in your office. For its time, this was quite an advanced game and still remains unique to this day, definitely worth a try at least
