There's not a whole lot here, but it's not advertised as anything more than a 'preparing your tax returns' game, so I guess you get exactly that. While I obviously didn't put any real information into the program, it did help me figure out what I'm supposed to do since nobody's ever told me how to do my taxes, so it's helpful in that regard. Iris is a good character but I am a tad disappointed that the story is extremely shallow.
This game fails at the core of what it's trying to do.
I'm not american, so I can't actually do my taxes with this. While I am salty about it, I wont stay too mad, because it would be impossible for the devs to accomodate every single country's tax system.
That being said, what really is inexcusable is that you can only file as a single taxpayer with no dependants. That is fucking absurd.

They have paid for millions of dollars in lobbying over decades to keep taxes as confusing as possible, and their efforts to deceive you will continue until you find yourself one click away from being done with this whole nightmare and going to fetch your wallet to just get this over with.
I can't recommend in good conscience that you put your Social Security Number into some mystery program (even though I find myself agreeing with MSCHF). What I will ask is that you avoid giving Intuit or H&R Block a single cent if at all possible, because they will only use that money to make your life worse.
Uhhh Iris is cute. Who doesn't love an office lady! The backgrounds here are pretty good and I never found the soundtrack grating. Would be nice if they had a fullscreen option, but for something this short, I had a pretty good time! Didn't expect to laugh so much, hehe!
