A CONCLUSÃO SIMPLESMENTE IMPECÁVEL. Amo demais como the assignment e the consequence é praticamente um separate ways, foram geniais demais em fazer isso cara. SÉRIO.

literally the exact same issues and strengths as the previous DLC - bad stealth gameplay (even if I think the gimmicks are a bit more fun this time around and there's nothing as bad as the elevator wait in The Assignment) but the story is still cool and the presentation is fucking stellar. all in all, they're fine!

Nice dlc that adds more to the story and has some nice twists. I thought it was random how conveniently Kidman got or lost her weapons lol. Miles easier than the main game, thank god or stealth here would be super frustrating. I'll play RE4R next and later TEW 2.

El primero full sigilo aqui parece esto el RE5 junto al Alan Wake con porrosy explosiones por tos laos

I like it for the way it fills the blanks in the main game's plotline but the way it time skips can feel confusing & giving us more stealth isn't really all that enjoyable

gworl you're getting harassed by slenderman get real

second part of the kidman dlc and its gonna get heavy

while the main game is basically the same as the first half of the dlc I kinda feel like this was way more tense and had a tighter pacing all around sure it's still stealth and I hate stealth but they're gonna give you here and there some more weapons to deal with the fuckers you encounter its still like some axes and maybe a gun for like 10 minutes until this girl just basically loses it like a stupid ass ok whatever

the story is just a continuation of the first one and while I wanted some more backstory for me to actually love the character and shit they still felt kind of tied to the main game like theres not really a huge exploration of the character at hand because its like lookey lookey here what the girl was doing while sebastian was scratching his balls which is still fine but a bit redundant since even though the campaign is way different from the main story (kudos to them for making a new experience instead of just doing the old separate ways deal) it still has to have some interactions with it for the story to make sense and entwine accordingly

still I liked this a lot ! progression isn't the sweetest trip with that kind of gameplay but its fine to have some different mechanics from sebastians huge and … big and ……. strong hands

she is yet again babysitting leslie sue has to keep up with the shit that gets thrown on her not only by famous ruvik but also by that mobius guy this time deadass this girl cannot chill for even one second its like real life womanhood if silent hill 3 wasn't a better representation of that

the little interactions are cute and the in depth explanation of the story is a good thing for me who's dumb as shit and couldn't piece together all the stuff that happened in the main game and yet I couldn't understand what the ending meant but do I give a fuck ? no

nice dlc I dont think im gonna get into the executioner DLC because I don't care about arcadey story less type of content so I'm just gonna play the evil within 2 sebastian im coming wait for me

The Consequence was the conclusion of Juli Kidman's two-part perspective of what happened in The Evil Within, therefore it continued to attempt to fill in the blanks. It was more of the same—I could argue that both halves should've been released as one—with stealth sections and puzzles. There was more gunplay in the later chapters, and overall I found it to be just as enjoyable. I can't say I kept up with the story, though, as I could never find much interest in how it was told.

a lot more visually interesting then assignment

The second half of Kidman's campaign.

The gameplay's not as interesting as Sebastian's. Everything is extremely straightforward with little room for variety or experimentation. Straightforward stealth with very slight shooting sections. Not bad, but I won't be returning to it.

Definitivamente superior a The Evil Within original y por poco.
Ese aspecto mas personal de la narrativa, esa dirección de arte totalmente limpia y silenciosa y ese boss final cambiante me convencio.
Kid is the real deal now.

essa aqui foi muito melhor q a outra dlc mas a história já não é tão interessante, no geral valeu a pena jogar

A somewhat satisfying conclusion to The Evil Within that--while answering some questions--it also sets up new questions for a future entry (which does a shitty job following up, but that's neither here nor there). Gameplay-wise, it has a noticeable stronger emphasis on gunplay than "The Assignment" but stealth is still the heaviest aspect.

I appreciated the atmosphere when it didn't feel so recycled, and the unique boss encounters were enjoyable as well. Don't have too much to say, it was just aight. Oh, and the Easter eggs were cute and funny too.

I have a gun I feel powerful
5 seconds later
I FEEL NAKED WITHOUT A GUN

Linear and basic, but pretty enjoyable thanks to pacing and atmosphere. Points for above average stealth bosses and making a stealth DLC for an action game, no points for the action stuff towards the end.

Played on Linux

Can't complain, more of the same. This time we explore the deep subconscious of one character, and the visual methafors can be quite striking if you look into it.

Хоть где-то нам дают набить ебало G-Мену

A much better DLC than part 1 but still kind of lacking anything to make it a must play other than the added context and fleshing out of the main game's plot.
Still I got what I wanted from the the two parter DLC.

After beating previous DLC and getting used to stealth approach, this DLC is great. I very liked the flow of it. One thing that I didn’t like is the final boss battle: it’s too underwhelming, just like main game’s final boss.

This was slightly better than the first one, but only slightly. You get another gun including one not from the base game (that you use for five minutes) and it had more interesting areas. Other than that, basically the same problems as the first one.

This review contains spoilers

Both gameplay-wise and story-wise this pretty much continues what I thought about The Assignment, so read my review of that if you want.

There's one difference tho and that's the fact that the writting has nosedived and is pretty lame. More precisely Kidman's character. The game tries to give her kind of an arch of independence from Mobius, but it's so weird because:

1. Kidman has no stakes in what's happening outside letting his coworkers live. So the whole "I'm not gonna obey your orders of protecting Leslie" has no motivation other than trusting her instincts, and about that...

2. Kidman knew she was getting into some shady Illuminati shit. Why the surprise of finding out that she's expendable? Is she that dumb?

3. The cosification of Mobius' control of her life is so lame as an enemy design, and the way it's written clashes with the writting of the main game.

You can tell that this was written and directed by someone else, and it is. It's directed and written by John Johanas and I'm sorry to say this but this is weak. I'll give the man props for one thing: the whole "we start as a Clock Tower throwback and it evolves into an action game as Kidman gains trust in herself" is a neat directing idea, but it wasn't executed well and the whole vibe seems like it belongs to a complete different game. This should've been a standalone thing with no ties to the main game, it would've made for a more powerful independence arc than this tied-in mess.

It doesn't help that it heavily rehashes a lot of stuff from the main game and some things that it does new just don't hit. The paintings with the face of Rubik that possess Leslie and you have to burn? Very lackluster. The scary Slenderman-type suit with the corporative themes? Too sterile and vanilla in comparisson to the main game, it doesn't even feel like it exists in the same visual universe. The cool glowstick section? It doesn't build up to anything of importance. The whole structure of "taking separate unconnected scenes to make a Kidman: Abridged Series"? Very disjointed and has a very abrupt sense of pacing.

Nah, very weak stuff. I'll give props for trying to deliver a whole character arc in a two parter DLC but they bit more than you could chew and in the process they ruined some of the cool mystique of the main game for the sake of spoonfeeding info that was already there if you payed attention. And again, in the process of trying to portray this Kidman independance arc, they made her look dumb as hell.

I'm actually furstrated because I had a damn good time with The Evil Within and I had my fill already, but I had to play this in case it had anything of importance to the sequel or had something cool. But no.

Das DLC hab ich bei der Hälfte dann abgebrochen, aus den Gründen, die ich zum ersten Teil schon genannt habe. Hier war die Motivation zum Spielen komplett weg.

There's more shooting than the first DLC but there's still too much weak stealth gameplay. As such, gameplay is still peepee poopoo in comparison to the main game. Story's great, tho, and it's still amazing aesthetically. So it's enjoyable.

The Consequence has more shooting, so that's nice. Regardless, both DLCs do a good job of fleshing Kidman out with a unique gameplay style, albeit one that goes on a bit too long for a survival horror game.

Went into this DLC thinking it'd be somewhat an upgrade from the previous one only to again be fucked with by Tango Gameworks not even an hour into the game jfc.

While this DLC is slightly better in that there's not as many bullshit scenarios they throw you in with its frustratingly atrocious stealth mechanics the story definitely gets increasingly intriguing as you reach the climax of the game.

The Assignment and The Consequence really make The Evil Within's world and characters give more weight than we're let on to believe without any retcons or creating more plot holes. They even give Kidman a lot more nuance than just some cop chick/secret agent.

I just wish they found another way to make these DLCs without the atrocious stealth mechanics they implemented.

The Consequence can very well be considered The Assignment Part 2, as it picks up right after the ending of the first DLC and retains all the gameplay elements introduced there. This DLC, however, is definitely more enjoyable. It shines more light into Kidman's story and it ends with a fantastic tease for the sequel, the gameplay leans more into stealth exploration than combat, which I deeply appreciate, given that we know from The Assignment what happens when you try to do a stealth-based boss battle with a limited stealth system.

This DLC felt shorter, but I personally had a better time with it, and I highly recommend it if you enjoy the story of the game.

كنت اتوقع من كيد اكثر من فليرز وصراخ سلامات

The Consequence is much better than The Assignment. It still leans heavily on stealth gameplay, but mixes things up with some limited combat sections. It also does more with the story in Evil Within and makes a few of the things in the base game (perhaps unnecessarily) more clear.

Kidman's trip through the Evil Within is much better for her new access to weapons in this DLC. It is very limited in terms of options (only a handgun and a single shot shotgun) and ammo and access to weaponry feels more deliberate and calculated. This restraint combined with the extremely punishing stealth mechanics mean you really feel every bullet you fire.
The combat isn't quite as successful as in the base game, and a few very frustrating stealth sections remain, but overall the game is fun to play through.

The events in The Consequence do a lot more to explain clearly what is going on in The Evil Within. Many things that are only hinted at or spoken about obliquely during Sebatian's gameplay are outright confirmed, which does feel a bit better in terms of the in-game character's motivations.
Like in The Assignment, Kidman experiences similar events to Seb, but with wildly different context and connective tissue. Tango Gameworks tries to use STEM to explain this, but it reads as contrived retcon to me, rather than revelation.

The Consequence is good enough if you want to get the full Evil Within experience, and it definitely can help expand your understanding of the (somewhat muddled) plot of the main game.
