Hakuna Matata means no worries for the rest of your days, which is the exact opposite of what the game designers thought when designing this game's levels.

I think this game is the first game that made me break a controller back when I was a kid. I hate it and love it at the same time.

too bastard hard but i remember playing a ton of it bc i didnt have very many games

why the fuck did i ever play this for more than 3 seconds

Can the rhino like slow down

Pretty decent for a game in which you play a lion, would defo appreciate a bloodier version where you can rip the heads off of other animals.

Como plataformas es muy divertido, las mecánicas funcionan bien y la música es pegadiza. Eso sí, es difícil como él solo, incluso para los estándares de la época.

This is one game I'm pretty... conflicted about. Admittedly I do have some nostalgia for it playing it on the SNES here and there, and I still really dig the presentation with the game's visuals and recreated soundtrack.

However, the game's extremely steep difficulty curve makes it really hard for me to enjoy going back to it. The game starts out fairly straightforward, but as soon as you enter the second level (the "Just Can't Wait to be King" stage) the game pretty much instantly becomes extremely frustrating with some mechanics that aren't explained to you at all and having some REALLY bullshit deaths. This issue is especially bad considering there's no way to save your game on original hardware.

I may consider doing a playthrough of it, however that'll most likely happen on the Switch's "Disney Classic Games" collection where I have unlimited save states at my disposal.

this game would be tight if it wasn't so hard

I know I played it. I recognize the Google images. Beyond that, I have no idea.

Yes it's hard, yes it's unforgiving at parts and can result in tension headaches but i still have nostalgia for this game.

i paid 40 bucks for the collection with this and the aladdin genesis game in it and to this day i have never felt more ripped off in my fucking life

It's okay for a licensed game, but there are a lot of frustrating moments where the game wasn't very well-designed.
