i had an idea of the gimmick coming in, but man actually experiencing it was pretty damn cool.

i would genuinely recommend it to anybody. especially this version. i’ll remember it for a long time.

9.5/10

Bucketloads of entertainment.

This game is just so stunning like everything you do changes something it feels like there are no barriers. there are so many endings and like everything you do actually does something. Its just a really well made game.

this game changed my brain chemistry

I like that anyone could play this and appreciate it.

I love this game. I love The Stanley Parable. I found myself somewhat disappointed with Ultra Deluxe’s direction. But the base game is still a 4 star game. The “bucket” endings are only 3 stars.

What can I even say?

This game is a masterpiece through and through. I have never smiled and laughed at any other game as much as I have here. I've also never been this blown away at a game before. I think the part that sold me was when the game starts talking to you the second time you log into it. It was fun playing around and trying to find out how to get each ending. I found the narrator charmingly amusing the whole way through. This game can both be weird fun and strangely sad and somber at the same time. In one play through you will be laughing the entire way through and the next you can be close to tears. This game has officially bumped Doom 2016 out of my top five.

A critique of The Stanley Parable itself would be too ironic for me. An irony that I’m not keen on taking part of, much less if it means creating the opportunity to be made fun of by the devs when The Stanley Parable: Ultra Mega Deluxe Director’s Cut or something comes out.

Instead, I wanted to express how surreal it was to begin the game at 12:00 AM not knowing that the game asks what the time is first thing when booted up, as the default time IS 12:00 AM.

And I realized that only when booting up the game for the second time; it asked the time again, and I adjusted it accordingly. The game mentioned how it was pissed off at how I didn’t adjust the time the first time I booted it up but calmed down after I actually adjusted it the second time around, jokingly saying that it must had actually been 12:00 AM then. But it was.

The coincidence itself is cool and all but it actually mentioning that afterwards was just an awesome meta moment that made the whole game worth it.

An interesting work that I’m sure would’ve really impacted me if I played it when I was younger and didn’t know anything about it, but even playing it now I can respect how well written it is. The closest I’ve ever felt to reading a Douglas Adams book as a game

If this version had come out before Rick and Morty, people would unironically start carrying buckets around.

the broom closet ending was my favorite.

sooooooo good i just wish i had a reason to play it again after experiencing everything it had to offer

got all but one of the endings because as hard as i try i am not getting that baby to stay out of the fire for 4 hours

i won't say anything about this game. not because it's bad, but because you should absolutely play it for yourself!

Summing it up in a few words, this game is odd,and maybe that's the reason I like it

Perhaps he simply missed a memo

Boy I haven't been this disappointed in a game in a while. No one to blame but myself, I guess, but I really assumed there would be something else going on here. I assumed that this was like, a puzzle game or something and that all the (iconic) narrative shenanigans were layered on top of that base, a la Portal. But no, no, there's not really a game here at all. It's just the narrative shenanigans, which are pretty neat for a few minutes but I imagine would have been way more cool if the entire concept of the game wasn't already sort of out there in the public consciousness.

Instead, it's just a bunch of short stories built upon branching narrative paths but when there are so many of them, it just gets kind of tedious to replay the opening stages of them again and again. I'm sort of shocked that there's not an option to just skip to the branch.

Gioco che tutti dovrebbero provare almeno una volta.

um jogo conceitual da melhor qualidade.
uma reflexão/ruptura cômica sobre o dia a dia de trabalho e uma metalinguagem sobre os videogames.

not to gatekeep but no one can like this game more than i do i think

Witty and really interesting, Stanley Parable is genius

qualquer coisa que eu falar desse jogo é spoiler, joguem.
