I decided to play this again after over 10 years since I last played this.
I didn’t really remember anything at all about the game and I assumed that it would be a game that was good for the time, but aged poorly.
I was insanely wrong in that assumption. It’s incredible to me that this narrative still holds strong as one of the best ever in gaming. How your choices you make feel so gut wrenching and there’s no “right path.”
The gameplay, while limited and not many options, creates an overwhelming sense of immersion that I have never really felt in another game. You make every move so deliberately and during tense sequences, you are just as terrified as the character cause you don’t want to mess up. The controls still work and I never felt like a death was due to controls.
That’s how I’d describe this whole package, the most immersive game ever made. You really feel for the characters and the narrative makes you want to keep going and get to the end, even though what you find will break your heart, it still makes you feel so deeply.
I walk away from this game with it being one of my all time favorite narratives, immersive experiences and favorite games of all time.
It’s time to go to season 2!

I AM STUNNED. I don't give a fk about what people say but, this hot shit here's got the best story amongst all of Zombie Apocalypse media. Nothing even comes close.
Yeah I know that the gameplay is close to none in this but, if they would have made it into a movie, that would fail to deliver what this game does.
The graphics may be cartoonish, but the world is not empty. You as Lee Everett meet and lose so many people with different traits and character. You make choices those come to bite you later in the game. You make bonds with so many lovely characters. And you feel bad when each of then meet their fate.
The environment is great as well. The colors, soundtracks and voice lines blend readily to create a depressing feel.
Considering the budget and resources that the development team had at the displosal, this game is still better than some of the modern AAA Zombie games.

One of the first big "choices matter" visual novel with qte games, and Telltales big launch. Both when I first played it, and now, I think that this is a great, emotional game and has one of the best protagonists in the Telltale series. The fear and confusion of the dead rising and infecting is present here like nowhere else in the following sequels, and the choices do generally feel like they matter.

I may have put in too many hours into this game but the most interesting part of this game isn't just the story but how the world reacts to your choices.

Me gusta mucho el mensaje de que por mucho que queramos hacer el bien en el juego nuestras acciones serán difíciles de tomar por el tono del mundo.
El viaje de Lee no es un camino de redención como tal. Si no de tratar de ser mejor persona en un mundo cruel con Clementain sirviendo de brújula moral sobre nuestras acciones.
Aunque el guión toma unos cuantos atajos fáciles para hacer shock deprimente creo que la mayoría del tiempo puedo dejar pasarlo cuando tenemos un capítulo tan bueno como lo es el 3 dónde todas las fichas encajan muy bien.
Con respecto al gameplay solo destacó las partes cuando nos hacen verdaderamente participes de las acciones y me gusta que no haya acciones malas como tal, solo decisiones.
Disfrute mucho más la experiencia de lo que pensé.

God I loved this entire series, the graphics may look awful but I love it so much, but why TF did they kill LEE!!!
Played this during the pandemic and it's hella compelling. Genuinely, an example of Videogames as art. This is how you present a choice based game. It really is that good.
