Fun twist on city-building. My town got wrecked when the useless doctors couldn't heal one sick guy.

+ A unique spin on the genre as far as I know.
- This isn't my kind of genre, which I knew going in but GOD DAMN I REALLY dislike this genre.

I played this one over a few sittings before I got the "thanks for playing this early access game!" Pop up. I had fun with it, but felt at that point there wasn't much else to do (without trophy hunting or repeated playthroughs.) It was at around 200 in game days. Overall though I had fun with it! I would definitely play a full version of this game, or if the devs made a similar game like this. Small gripe is that I wish it had a button to just move something I've built, though I understand why they might not put one in there.

Upon reading other reviews, I agree that the music whips

Beautiful music, love the artstyle, and love the Onbu! Very creative traveling village survival game! I'll definitely play this more on and off!

A beginner-friendly city builder with somewhat of a unique concept. You can tell a lot of thought and heart went into this project. My only issues with it are balance-related, although that's normal for a game still in early access. Putting it on hold for a while.

At the time of this review, I played the game for about 20 hours, and I am still not completely through.

The game is advertised as Early Access / Preview, but it definitely already feels extremely finished and polished. I encountered only a few minor bugs throughout the gameplay. The game has a good balance between ''tryharding'' sections and relaxing sections where you can just let your village do your thing. The concept is absolutely adorable and the 2D / 3D mixed graphics really sold it for me in the end. The biomes looks truly beautiful and there is quite a great variety already, but i am definitely looking forward to more. I read through the list of things that are still coming to the game, which will add even more charm to it. For a game that is listed as Preview, this was a truly delightful experience and will definitely play more with more updates coming.

It's unfair of me to review a game from a genre I never really enjoy. The setting is very original and nice, it's obvious there's a lot of talent and creativity behind this. Ultimately, I don't think it adds anything game changing compared to most other city builders, but I played it for a few hours while sipping on some tea, so there's a good feeling.

A simple city builder that is visually appealing with decent depth to its gameplay. The city building has some stressful moments like hot temperature + poison clouds and its pretty easy to lose your settlers when things get crazy. Like any other city builder, its all about managing and preparing yourself for these moments because they will happen whether you are ready for them or not.

I'm in love with the art, music, and concept of this game but I couldn't really click with the mechanics enough to enjoy playing much.

i don't understand how this is different from any other city builder, except space is slightly more constrained and you have one additional resource (monster happiness) to manage. just seems wildly uninterested in its own concept.

Got to play it during Steam's 'Next Fest' and really enjoyed it. Thankfully, I was also sent a code to access the closed Beta so I could keep playing. This is a game that has a lot of promise and delivers.

With a world similar to Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, the game involves building, maintaining and protecting a village on the back of a giant creature from toxic pollen clouds. I find the premise to be very exciting and interesting with the gameplay complimenting that nicely.

My only complaint is the lack of a pollen free mode or difficulty setting for the more casual player as it can be a little overwhelming when Onbu is in a bad mood and decides to sleep in the middle of a pollen cloud.

I've been playing this for a couple weeks now, and I really love it. It's not perfect, there are certain things I think could be improved or village elements I think should be added, but it is overall a simply delightful little game.

enjoativo e repetitivo, mas até que criativo

I am a huge fan of city builders and this one had me immediately hooked. I am setting it aside so as to not burn myself out before the game is fully released. If Onbu doesn't trust you, I don't trust you.

Was never attracted to the genre, but had this recommended as a good beginner level introduction to it. It's fun, although it doesn't really solve my major gripe with it that is: You can't really plan a city and have it be pretty or optimal. You just do whatever you need right now for people not to die and once you're stable enough you'll need days of grinding to slowly rebuild into the city you actually want to do.

Still, that's a purely subjective gripe. The game does exactly what it promises to do, but nothing more. I guess I'll try Frostpunk next and see how it compares to one that's notoriously punishing compared to this cozy one.

I might have enjoyed this if I hadn't just played Airborne Kingdom. They are essentially the same game. Art style is a little too bright for long-term play, imo.

Great art style! Love the big monster you live on, he's perfect

Ele é muito bom apesar de achar que estressa muito em certos momentos. Recomendo ir de casual ou com as mortes desabilitadas. Mas eu me senti em uma aventura, em um city builder e isso diz muito

Early Access:

I think there is a bit of an identity crisis. It is not sure if it wants to be a relaxing and thoughtful city builder, or a stressful and difficult tragedy.

It's very fun. I gotta stop buying games in this genre though. I never have the attention span for the micromanagement. I keep seeing these kind of games, thinking "maybe I am a city builder guy" then playing it and realizing aspirational purchases aren't the best bet. Oops, I have no impulse control or understanding of what makes me happy. 4 out of 5 stars.
