I played this one over a few sittings before I got the "thanks for playing this early access game!" Pop up. I had fun with it, but felt at that point there wasn't much else to do (without trophy hunting or repeated playthroughs.) It was at around 200 in game days. Overall though I had fun with it! I would definitely play a full version of this game, or if the devs made a similar game like this. Small gripe is that I wish it had a button to just move something I've built, though I understand why they might not put one in there.

At the time of this review, I played the game for about 20 hours, and I am still not completely through.
The game is advertised as Early Access / Preview, but it definitely already feels extremely finished and polished. I encountered only a few minor bugs throughout the gameplay. The game has a good balance between ''tryharding'' sections and relaxing sections where you can just let your village do your thing. The concept is absolutely adorable and the 2D / 3D mixed graphics really sold it for me in the end. The biomes looks truly beautiful and there is quite a great variety already, but i am definitely looking forward to more. I read through the list of things that are still coming to the game, which will add even more charm to it. For a game that is listed as Preview, this was a truly delightful experience and will definitely play more with more updates coming.

It's unfair of me to review a game from a genre I never really enjoy. The setting is very original and nice, it's obvious there's a lot of talent and creativity behind this. Ultimately, I don't think it adds anything game changing compared to most other city builders, but I played it for a few hours while sipping on some tea, so there's a good feeling.
A simple city builder that is visually appealing with decent depth to its gameplay. The city building has some stressful moments like hot temperature + poison clouds and its pretty easy to lose your settlers when things get crazy. Like any other city builder, its all about managing and preparing yourself for these moments because they will happen whether you are ready for them or not.
Got to play it during Steam's 'Next Fest' and really enjoyed it. Thankfully, I was also sent a code to access the closed Beta so I could keep playing. This is a game that has a lot of promise and delivers.
With a world similar to Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, the game involves building, maintaining and protecting a village on the back of a giant creature from toxic pollen clouds. I find the premise to be very exciting and interesting with the gameplay complimenting that nicely.
My only complaint is the lack of a pollen free mode or difficulty setting for the more casual player as it can be a little overwhelming when Onbu is in a bad mood and decides to sleep in the middle of a pollen cloud.

Was never attracted to the genre, but had this recommended as a good beginner level introduction to it. It's fun, although it doesn't really solve my major gripe with it that is: You can't really plan a city and have it be pretty or optimal. You just do whatever you need right now for people not to die and once you're stable enough you'll need days of grinding to slowly rebuild into the city you actually want to do.
Still, that's a purely subjective gripe. The game does exactly what it promises to do, but nothing more. I guess I'll try Frostpunk next and see how it compares to one that's notoriously punishing compared to this cozy one.

It's very fun. I gotta stop buying games in this genre though. I never have the attention span for the micromanagement. I keep seeing these kind of games, thinking "maybe I am a city builder guy" then playing it and realizing aspirational purchases aren't the best bet. Oops, I have no impulse control or understanding of what makes me happy. 4 out of 5 stars.
