Card games on danmaku battles?? This has GOT to be the coolest unique mechanic in the entire series, barring LoLK's point device mode. And a lot of these stage themes were amazing (particularly stage 4, 5 and the extra).

It's catchy to listen to, pretty to look at and fresh to play. With incredibly striking themes of environmentalism and foul market abuse this one is a certified banger from ZUN. Consider bumping it to 5 stars after sitting on it a bit more.

thought the story isnt as cool as wbawc, ddc, or lolk, it's genuinely the most fun i've had in gameplay with touhou since DDC
the cast however is great, specially the EX boss, she's top 15 characters for me for sure
i'm a big fan but it doesnt beat 17 or 5 :)

After playing the demo I was honestly pretty worried that the full game was going to be severely unbalanced. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case. The deckbuilding mechanic is really fun and a refreshing change of pace from the usual Touhou fare. Also, lots of interesting (and difficult) danmaku to dodge this time, you'll probably be on your toes for some part of the game no matter what kind of cards you take.

Gets extra points from me for the Mushihimesama reference(s).

ZUN really did make one of the most interesting gimmicks in the series, just to fuck up hard in level design, enemy design and bullet patterns (Megumu and Chimata were fun fights tho).
