Replayed it again after YEARS of this game being my childhood, and wow; it still stands its ground! Fantastic soundtrack and sound design, quite a challenging difficulty (played on normal and still died A LOT) and the insane intensity of ALL of the boss fights (i was screaming and panicking due to the size of Tidal Wave and how close Megatron can get once he out of nowhere starts running to you; i felt like in a horror game!) made this game such a fun experience.
Only thing i could complain about is how short the game can feel, ugh i wish it was longer!
And, an other critique i could see given to the game is how the story might be too simple and with barely any dialogue, which i actually like! It can serve as a great starter to the world of Transformers, and especially to the Armada anime; you meet some of the robots and get a slight sense of how they will act in the universe. Overall a fantastic experience, and something i will still come back to.

Estaban buenos los robotitos chiquitos y el juego ser ve demasiado bien para ser de ps2

Hard as balls if you don´t know what you´re doing, but its cool to collect the Poké...Minicons

Quite challenging but a very charming experience, you can tell they put a lot of love into it. Collecting Minicons is fun as is trying to make builds and using them to your advantage. The game is overall very hard, probably a bit too hard all things considered but it is managable with trial and error. Just make sure to take frequent breaks to avoid frustration! It's one of the best Transformers games we have alongside War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron and Devastation. Here's hoping Reactivate can live up to all of them.

Such a hard game. Never defeated the giant boss in the beach level( or it was snow?)

Probably one of the most unique and inspired licensed games ever made.

voice acting in this one was RANK

Considered the first "good" Transformers game, and it is certainly a good game, did not reach it's true potential from a lot of jank and technical issues holding it back. This had a recipe to be a favourite of mine. Levels are big open areas that have stuff everywhere to explore and find. 3rd person shooter combat with 1st person switching. Finding upgrades and building your own unique build. Felt kind of like a "lite" version of Armored Core. Having said that, shooting does not feel great. The controls are sloppy and heavy. Performance is so-so. Lots of glitches. Plenty of annoying and frustraring moments. Enemies not reacting to your shots. Lots of problems here. I really wanted to love this game. You can feel the low budget here. Although I will say this is a really technically impressive PS2 game.

в детстве ютубное прохождение казалось интереснее

на деле же однообразный тир-шутер с проблесками интересных механик

A game that I wish was playable in some form on modern consoles today. Taking place within the Armada universe, you are able to play though massive zones as 3 different Autobots. What keeps this game from having a perfect rating is that even though you have the choice of picking a different character, there really isnt much gameplay differences between them aside from the speed of your transformed state.

All that aside, the gameplay of this title has soul. Exploring the map and finding different mini-cons is part of the fun itself. With each different mini-con comes a different upgrade to your character and these can range from combat changes, to agility changes, to defensive, and even recon/scouting.

It has a couple of different boss battles and being able to build your Autobot with the mini-cons you feel best is part of the puzzle that makes exploring the map very fun. Here's hoping there is some way to preserve and play this fun title again.

I remember randomly renting this from Blockbuster and didn’t put it down for a full weekend.

Four stars for the bit where the aircraft carrier boat level stands up out of the sea and someone shouts "IT'S TIDAL WAVE", classic.
