in the past

Can't think up much to say, I really enjoyed the previous games, however I hate the fact they appear to have removed base building as a element of the game, drains out a lot of my interested in the game. It was okay, but compared to the past ones it's not very interesting or amazing.

Retribution is the version of Dawn of War II to play if you're playing online but I can't help but feel like it's a little lesser as a full package than the base Dawn of War II or Chaos Rising. I don't think the campaigns are bad but they just didn't grab me like the others did. Still a fantastic game

A solid last expansion for Dawn of War 2 and a great improvement over Chaos Rising.

The campaign this time around lets you choose which race to play as and it's a nice addition, since both the base game and previous expansion focused on the Space Marines.
While the campaign is rather short, it's a lot of fun and can be easily replayed multiple times.

Last Stand mode has been further improved upon from Chaos Rising. You can easily sink tons of hours into this mode alone, as it's highly addicting and fun.

Great game and a nice one to wrap up the Dawn of War 2 storyline.

Dawn of war 2 generally tones things down from the first games and moves it towards more of a Company of Heroes direction with cover systems and more tactical planning for smaller engagements rather then doomstack armies colliding in a massive bolterfilled Rock Paper Scissors match.

I don’t think either style of RTS is better than the other because they’re both different and can’t really be compared but I really value dawn of war 2’s small scale approach to the genre, battles might not be as big but they’re just as intense due to heavier micro-management of your units that are likely spread across the map fulfilling different objectives.

Also being able to watch a baneblade fire it’s cannon at a Chaos Sorcerer causing him to go flying through a stone pillar to his death is worth buying the game for.

Una secuela más que digna a Dawn of War.

A solid improvement over the Chaos Rising expansion, and similar in fun factor to DoW 2.

There are six playable races in total, each with their own campaign. I've only completed the Tyranid campaign in co-op, which was a lot of fun.

They've also improved the leveling system. There are no more incremental stat upgrades. Instead, each skill point spent unlocks a skill. A single galaxy map screen was a welcome addition, as it saved unnecessary transitions between planets.

I'd recommend this game to Warhammer 40K fans and people who are remotely interested in the RTS genre.

worse campaign, cool new races

The campaign is okay, but the meat of the matter is in the multiplayer
