''The blood of martyrs is the seed of the imperium''

A corridor action shooter with a monotonous action game and waves of enemies. The visual is relatively pleasant and very elegantly voiced. As for the swinging plot, it's a bit simple here, as for me. I expected too much from this game.

Fairly standard 7th gen third person shooter. Short enough to not feel extremely repetitive nor boring. There’s not that much variety in terms of gameplay or setting. And this aspect is probably the roughest. There´s nothing really special about combat, it´s rather uneven in its impact and weight. Same thing happens with traversal. Level design gets repetitive, there´s not many different enemies to fight and the checkpoints are frustrating. The narrative and characters are rather thin and uncompelling too. The novelty of its setting is its main draw for me. It still looks pretty solid, and the art design is awesome. I just wish there was more variety in terms of the places you fight and walk through. It does get very ‘samey’ after a couple hours. This was also my first real contact with the Warhammer universe, which I’m going to keep exploring as it looks insane. I assume that because of the fairly mainstream gameplay style this has been an entry point for many.

‘Fun, AA third person shooter from the early 2010´s’ is the best way to describe this one, and don’t go into it expecting much more than that. If you are okay with that or are a fan of the Warhammer universe, or want to get into it, or just have a few hours to kill and got this for cheap, I say try it out.

A fun little way to spend to spend 7~8 hours. Classic space marine weapons like the boltgun, the plasma pistol, the melta gun, and the thunder hammer feel really nice to use. Being able to seamlessly weave melee attacks in-between volleys of gun-fire feels good as well. The first half of the game is the more fun half, when you're just fighting Orks. When the second enemy faction shows up, the encounter design suddenly becomes more frustrating than genuinely challenging. Being a fan of the 40K setting isn't required, but does enhance the experience. A solid sale pick-up.

All around, a solid third-person shooter and a formidable 40K game, if imperfect. It has a lot of the Gears of War DNA in its bone, but uses that framework effectively enough to stand on its own two feet.

The game thrives from some very solid gunplay combined with strong setpieces that help break up the monotony of standard gameplay. The small but tight set of weapons all feel solid to use even if there are some more preferrable options. Was also pretty funny to see the glory kill system in this game, since I'm a big fan of the modern DOOM games.

However, definitely a few issues that are hard to overlook. The story is decent enough to keep things going but doesn't do so well when it comes to making you surprised about its twists and turns. The gameplay itself does quite a bit to fix this since the game's major twist feels great in the aftermath, but falls flat in the moment.

The game also has a much, much stronger second half as compared to the first. It hangs on that base concept a little too hard early on with the ork enemies being a little too repetitive in attacks. As said, the second half does fix this. But it doesn't excuse those first few hours.

Still, given that I only spent $10 or so on this, I'm impressed. Was already interested in it, but I'm considerably more excited to see how they could evolve upon the concept with the sequel next year.

nothing groundbreaking but its fun for fans of the setting and third person shooters.

Honestamente, jogando denovo (Com Mods) agora eu entendo o Jogou.

Ficou mil vezes melhor assim

Starts off strong, encounters are tough and waves really test how how I could utilize all the weapons and abilities available. Typical Warhammer mellowdrama dialogue plods along, but combat kept me coming back for more. Steady upgrades and changes to combat while adding enemies or increasing odds against me was great.

After a while, you begin to "get it." You can tell they start to lose creativity with the encounters and enemy types. Upgrades are just more of existing resources and lack of weapon variety adds to the staleness.

This is a great "turn the brain off" type of game. Really don't have to think too much once systems get into place. Didn't finish, maybe will later this year when the sequel gets a release date but for now just bored with it.

Gameplay: Good
Story: Great
Controls: Good
Graphics: Good for its time
Length: A bit short
Cutscenes: Great

The Game is too linear. The final boss was a let down.
But I'm a WH40K fan and the game is still good, so I recommend it. lol

Bom jogo viu.
Divertido, altos tiros porrada e bomba.

Possibly one of my favorite 3rd person shooters around being able to use melee and fire arms which was a really great experience. This game feels and plays so much like gears of war except without the cover system and advanced movement, which if it was added would have almost made this the perfect game in my opinion. I love the feeling of how characters move and the way guns shoot which make you feel as though the character is very heavy and tuff. The melee combat was fun, but overall I used shooting more because it was more viable, I wish it would have been worked on better.

Overall great game and best experience I played in a while..... Jet pack is the best part of the game!!!!

Really fun and it really makes you feel like a Space Marine. It's difficulty can be a bit annoying specially cause the controls can be a little bit clunky and some enemies bullet sponges.

she warrin' on my hammer till i anniversary edition

Super fun hack and slash gameplay. Story was interesting and explored a snippet of the 40k universe. Good amount of weapon variety for fun, diverse gameplay.

Even as a remaster, game definitely shows its age a bit graphically and with it's control layout.

All in all a fun time, and looking forward to Space Marine 2.
