this game is incredibly unique, having alot of inspiration taken from cowboy bebop- it is criminally underrated, although i felt like alot of the dialogue wasn't the best, if you're looking for a strange, niche rpg to play this is a game worth looking into

Visual novel com rpg, não colou comigo. "Bakaxi/10"

Game has it's flaws, but it's a personal 10/10, I just fell in love with the story and aesthetics, Shade is so cool and just like me frfr on god. Credits to Vincent Lai, he's got a really cool voice. Everyone else did a great job too.

Good game.
The gameplay is solid but it really doesn't represent any challenge, probably because it's mostly a plot driven game. The characters have a lot of charisma and good characterization, you really see a dynamic between them. The plot was quite good up until the end, where they pull a dude who looks like Friend from "20th Century Boy" out of nowhere. It's almost as if the devs didn't knew how to end the game properly. Where did this guy come from? Why Shade's friend didn't suffer the same consequences because of his deal with Foam Gum? Really, this ending ruined the what would otherwise have been a solid 9/10.
Music and Art is quite good, so much that I bought the OST and "Artbook" too.

Clearly steeped in a love for anime, especially Cowboy Bebop, Wolfstride often struggles narratively to stray the line of inspiration vs imitation. It's "immature RPG for grownups" is an accurate pitch - it's not super kid friendly but it's not a "mature' game by any means. It waxes faux-philosophically at many points but never really feels like it has an original thought.

As a game you play - it's alright! It's very grind-heavy, and it's pretty easy (like until the final fight) to just use the same strategy for every single foe with no worries, but the core ideas are compelling. And who doesn't love building giant robots.

Clearly a game built with a lot of love, and a strong enough debut but ... it doesn't quite hit the mark for me.

This game is criminally overlooked considering the amount of labor and love that was clearly put into it. The presentation oozes with style, the soundtrack is incredible, the story is memorable and heartfelt (though definitely a bit of a slow burn), and the characters are all distinct and interesting to hang out with. My only real gripe is the combat, which while fun and flashy, never evolved quite as much as I had hoped it would by the end.

"Black is my favorite color"

A story-driven game about a group of misfits being gifted a mecha called Cowboy and then trying to climb the ranks of a fighting tournament with it. The dialogue can be lengthy sometimes, but the story was great, the characters had depth, and the turn-based mecha fights were fun and satisfying. You play as the protagonist, Dominic Shade, who manages Team Cowboy. Throughout the game, more of Shade's backstory will reveal itself, showing the player how he ended up reuniting with his close friends, Knife and Duque. Players can customize Cowboy with different kinds of parts that each have their own drawbacks and advantages, and the pilot, Knife Leopard, can equip various moves and stances, allowing the player to develop their own mecha-fighting playstyle throughout the game. Almost the entire game has high-quality voice acting. It also has a unique and stylish art style. Overall, Wolfstride was an experience that was like no other game for me, and I believe that it's a highly underrated indie gem.

Sci-fi JRPG, Mecha

Nice art and setting, characters are cool...

BUT

...not very unique or original though, boring combat (= think of persona but with flash games animations).
