Look, I love the original version of Minecraft, but this version was borderline unplayable. It has to rely on touch screen controls which make the simple act of walking forward into a massive pain. It didn't help that, at launch anyway, the game world of this version was extremely limited. This is the worst way you could play the good game of Minecraft, I would simply not play Minecraft if my phone was my only option for it.

eu estava lá desde quando lançou e o The End chegou
O que isso significa? que estou ficando velho

A simpler version of minecraft with okayish controls, still fun though just not the best interface to play a game like this.

Gold, netherrack, cool block build to get Hell place was cool.

Playing anything touchscreen will always be a pain for my fat fingers

The first version I played. I loved the unique features this had back in the day, and despite my desire at the time for wanting more features, I'm very sad the custom features are gone, especially the Nether blocks, that I always used as pool tiles.

Back in my day we had a fucking Nether reactor.

I remember playing this on my hand me down iPhone 4 & a tablet. Its not as good as Java edition, but still amazing, has the nastolgia, and other than controls, mods, and servers, is basically the same game.

This was my first introduction to Minecraft back in 2011, and back then it was a charming, unique version of the game that had me entranced. Sadly, it lost a lot of that with the newer updates and modernisation.

real ones remember when you only has 3 inventory spaces.

This is a review of the earlier versions of pocket edition:

It's a pretty cool novelty to play minecraft on the phone. It is limited but it is its limited form that makes it feel a bit special to build something cool in it. Not to mention its portability makes it easy to show off those buildings to your friends.

very pointless for a game full of squares

It was perfect for mobile phones. However, nobody asked for THIS to become the default version of minecraft. This is now the same version that you play on consoles. Terrifying.

A relic from the good ol' days...

i downloaded the lite version as a shithead kid and i built a lot of stuff then i closed the game then i lose all of my builds so i hate pocket edition

was fun always being like 5 years behind the main game.

as it is now, very good port. love it to bits

Great, but not as good as java or bedrock on pc.

I’ll never be as happy as I was when I played this on its first versions on 2012

Why does Backloggd have Minecraft and Minecraft: Pocket Edition as two separate games?

if this game never existed I think i'd be a very different person

i am still tryna summon herobrine in this version bro ☠️

This version of Minecraft came a very very long way to what is it today. Sit down and let me tell you a little story

Due to the less advanced nature of mobile devices back in the day the old MCPE was only apx 5-10%ish (Randomly slapped estimated number here) compared to the PC version.

Back then the difference where
1.) Nether wasn't accessible through a portal but rather through a "Reactor" but even then it's not the entire dimension itself rather just a big block of netherite
2.) Limited worlds meant limited resources as well
3.) Stone cutter that used to craft stone blocks only
4.) The oldest version of this game had only 3 inventory slots
5.) No cave system, less biome, blocks, materials etc
