WHERE THE FUCK IS THE CATBOY FANSERVICE

this is the best game ive ever played.

i wanna bend that white haired catboy over a desk and beat him to death with a lamp shade

you can't fuck any of them, not even the femboy this is trash

i give this game one point for existing.
okay but seriously here is every negative aspect of this game:
- Each "route" is only 30 minutes long with no particular conclusion, development, or writing.
- The protagonist doesn't speak for herself and has people speak AT her which gets annoying really fast. When every other sentence someone speaking for her like it's Dora the Explorer, saying saying something like "What? You want to go shopping?", it can get extremely frustrating and I believe 15% of the script is just these lines. They happen frequently and in one scene they can occur almost back to back. There are no choices to be made in this game either, again because each route has no real conclusion or development.
- The game tends to zoom in on character sprites a lot which looks very, very ugly. When they're at their proper size, the art looks alright and very well done! But as they get closer to the camera, it becomes a pixelated blurry mess, and the game is very insistent on zooming in on sprites often.
- For some reason, you're able to select between windowed and fullscreen mode, but windowed mode is just windowed fullscreen. You're not able to move the window/resize it to your liking. So what on Earth is the purpose of giving me a choice when they're the same thing.
- The music is extremely repetitive. The SFX are far too loud and a click sound plays every single time you hover over the menu button, or almost any button for that matter, so I disabled SFX very fast.
- Why can't I peg the catboys
- Somehow, for some ungodly reason, THERE IS NO SKIP BUTTON IN THIS GAME, and I don't know how or why you would remove this feature from a text based game, regardless of length. You choose a route to play about 30 minutes in. This means if you didn't save before the choice (No, you can't save DURING the choice), you now have to replay those first 30 minutes over again. And if you play it again, you might not remember exactly where the choice of route pops up, so you might miss the chance to save, meaning you'll have to play the first 30 minutes AGAIN. No this didn't happen to me and I'm not mad.

Too sweet? Perhaps there were no characters that would interest me. And a story written with a bias in moe is usually not for me. Also a terrible engine for VN.

I play otome games less to date boys and more to feel like the protagonist. The boys in this are boring and the protagonist doesn't have a design or personality so it doesn't fulfill any of what I look for in otome games. Also the writing is sleep-inducing levels of boring, if the 'real' Nekopara games are also written like this I question their value.

It's pretty mid all around. Laurier and Dill are cute, and Sage and Fennel are okay, especially in uniform, but their normal attire feel a bit forced - Dill too, actually.
The art and music's well-done for a free game, too.

It's pretty mediocre prose otherwise. I think I would have liked to see some more written responses from the protagonist, but like...
I don't know. I don't necessarily think games have to be super profound meaningful pieces of art, but I can't help but feel like it's still a bit too light on substance.
Who is this for? It's so myopically carefree and full of nothing but fluff that I have hangups about enjoying this game.

In some ways, I guess it's still better than what I've heard of the mainline Nekopara games, especially in subject material. But it's also obvious that there wasn't nearly as much effort or care put into this one - which is fair for a free game that probably would put off the entire playerbase of the previous games, but... oh, well.

...I won't pretend I'd mind having cats, actually.

PLEASE laurier is adorable :( i was dared to install this

made me question my gender might be a girl now

I've never felt a man's touch in my entire life

They really baited us with this one. Give us the NSFW like you did for the Catgirls. Please and thanks. 🙏

love so much, personally prefer the character design way more than nekopara but there are just so many problems with the game: the routes are way way too short to really get into, lasting like 20 mins each, and the relations to the catboys doesnt really get built up enough before it just ends. the main chara just gets lines spoken at her and repeated, and there are no choices ever making the storyline so dull,, wish theyd expand this or make it a full game and at least let me fuck one of them ffs

a arte é linda mas eu queria muito q a gnt tivesse escolhas, espero q saia uma versao completa e menos ridicula

would give one full star if i could be male mc jk this game sucks balls

NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise is a Visual Novel with fully voiced characters and pretty character design! There is 4 routes for each character, but sadly, there is no actual choices or different endings for any of them, so you basically just read a story that is already predetermined. All of the characters were well designed and interesting looking, but sadly none of them jumped out to me as a favorite. Usually I manage to pick one favorite from these type of games, but here all of the characters were just average for me and not very interesting.

I was also not very happy about how the main character has no written lines at all and they do her "dialogue" with nods and shakes. It comes of as unrealistic when the romancable character asks a question and the MC just nods, and then they explain a really long answer, that wasn't actually said by the MC at all. The nods and shakes were also usually unrecognizable from each other and it was hard to tell what the shake actually meant.

I think a positive thing about this game was that the characters were really well voice acted, but sadly all of the catboy sounds made me cringe really bad and I had troubles actually following what they were saying. The artwork was very beautiful however and I really liked the CGs provided in the story.

I was told that there might be a fully-fledged sequel eventually, and I really hope there will be. I hope that they will fully flesh out the characters and make them actually interesting. Choices also are important in games like these, so I hope those will be added.

In the end, this game is free, so if you are at all interested, just play it! I didn't really enjoy it that much, so I won't recommend the game, but you might enjoy it, so you won't loose anything by trying!

It ends before it begins.
While the characters are cute and are each eagerly awaiting your affection-- the routes finish as you begin to understand each other. So... there is no romance really.
