It's aged well graphically, even for nearing a decade old. The PS4 port has some bugs still, including sound and some weird ones that cause objects to freak out. The worst was when an enemy fell into the earth right in front of me.
The two big points are story and gameplay, only one has held up. Spoiler, it's story. The story to this game is still a really fantastic one, well maybe more the characters. It's rare to see a video game character like Joel, something of a sympathetic monster. The story overall is so-so. It's a pretty basic premise, just one made so powerful due to characterization and theming.

It looks gorgeous but I can't get over it being Wal-Mart Children of Men. It doesn't help that I'm really not a big fan of Naughty Dog's cinematic games' mechanics. Factions is dope though.
While I do think the game is a bit overrated, I can't deny is greatest parts. The story is fantastic, and Ellie and Joel's dynamic is so great. Gameplay is pretty good but I wouldn't say it is nearly as good as the story.
it has a slow start and the story is pretty simple but it's definitely a compelling experience that is more than the sum of its parts

Pretty good, but flawed.
This game was awesome. I had never played it when it hit PS3. Finally getting that chance to play this here on PS4 was a cool experience. The story and the dynamic between our heroes Joel and Ellie made this extremely worth the adventure. The gameplay is also lovely. Everything was great. I would highly recommend this game to anyone.
A modern classic with incredible character work and world building that wonderfully paved the way for our current generation of gaming and storytelling.
I still think the game holds up well. You’re mainly there for the characters. The gameplay is interesting enough with a fun upgrade and crafting system, but nothing mind-blowing.
Finally decided to play this and even though I'm usually not a survival horror person, this is definitely one of the best games ever made

Following the adventure of Ellie and Joel was surprisingly realistic and gritty, with gameplay often fitting into the cutscenes that play. The game looks and plays amazingly, though the experience of this gripping storyline is bogged down by constant bugs, glitches, and gameplay mechanics not working the way they're intended.
The relationship between Joel and Ellie is so well done that it basically carries this game to a 5/5, even if the gameplay itself is still pretty fun on its own.
This game was so fun. The menu system is really good, I enjoyed the panic of having to craft shit in the middle of a firefight. Many of the story sections are some of the best I've played in a shooter. The mutiplayer was also good fun.
