I beat Alpharad's trick castle. Every now and then I rewatch all the SMM2 videos on Alpharad's let's play channel and remember ;the way home
It's just so much fun to play people's courses, some of them are so creative!! I'm in no way a master platformer, but it's still so much fun!
Custom worlds, auto levels, algorithms, songs and Link, now that the game is avaiable in a popular console we can see the limitless boundaries that players can achieve.

honestly it's a 4/5 for me, but I made it 5/5 because of how they released a game that inadvertently crushed any prospect of a future 2d mario in the style of new super mario bros. why would I pay $60 for a new mario game if "mariofan982" from Illinois can post twice the amount of content (albeit not good content) and offer that same experience?

An upgrade from the original in almost every way, but the horribly downgraded controls and UI killed it for me. Campaign was cool though.
This would be such an awesome game if nintendo didn't abandon it after 2 updates. Still good but it could have been great...

my friends and I sophomore year of college got to a score of over 1,000 easy levels beaten. wed just have it on while talking

I kinda forgot this game came out due to how quickly the free updates wrapped up for this game. I like the story mode a lot, it has some challenging levels that left me wanting to complete them. It does get a bit repetitive so I recommend pacing yourself while playing the story mode. The builder mode looks nice, though I may make one stage and be done. Seems better on Wii U other than having more tools and the 3D World theme. A bit unfortunate the community for this game is mostly dead, and typical bad Nintendo online netcode…
Excelente para aqueles que gostariam de fazer fases de um jogo do mario, ou para quem gostaria de brincar de level designer. Possui um editor de fase poderoso, com diversas opções, que cada opção tem variação e diferentes formas de usar e interações com outros elementos. Este game possui um bom modo aventura, com fases divertidas para te inspirar a fazer niveis. Ele depois de uma "DLC de graça", permite ate mesmo conectar as fases em mapas, basicamente permitindo nos mesmos a fazer um jogo do mario, uma pena que ele é meio limitado. O ruim mesmo desse jogo é o modo online, jogatinas com pessoas distantes travam muito, o que é horrivel para um jogo de plataforma e prescisão.

i get that it adds way more stuff for creators, but holy shit this game feels like such a downgrade compared to 1 in terms of presentation and content and all. something just feels lost and i'm not intelligent enough to communicate what.
what was up with them only giving this game like 2 post game updates and going extremely hard with a world creator in the last one... just to cut support right after

Eu amei o primeiro Mario Maker, joguei muito no lançamento, mas nesse jogo parece que é tudo mais sem sal, as fases da comunidade não são tão criativas quanto o primeiro e a falta da caneta e tela do wii u deixam a criação desse jogo bem pior.

Probably the switch game I could play for the rest of time and not get bored. This games possibility's are endless. Please make a third Nintendo. Please.

Logged so many hours on this when I was really into the community, following creators and trying their levels up to the easier Kaizo courses. Only made a few levels myself (code if you want it here: RSC-WX0-QSF), but being able to play the different styles and all their power-ups is great.
What kept me coming back was the Ninji speedruns, though, those really got me going! Bite-sized speedrun levels, being able to see other players around your level play, and a constantly updating leaderboard. Every month or so that those came out (and then fewer and fewer through 2021), would pick this back up and play for that whole active period. Usually managed to place within the top 1000, first getting to bronze or silver star with my own method, then watching Panga streams and copying the strats.
Super Worlds were a fun update, but wish they came earlier and weren't announced as part of the "last update ever" - took the wind out of the sails for this game. Still though, an active community, and if there's ever an interesting level I find on my feed, I enjoy jumping back into this and trying it out. Currently still holding the record on a few courses here and there, including Haelian's level!
If a 3rd one came out, would definitely be interested in picking that up. Probably prefer to keep it in 2D though, keep it simple. A mode in the Wonder style feels ripe to add in!
