i wish this game could be fun without spending hundreds of dollars on dlc or without downloading mods. why is there barely anything to do in the base game?? it also runs very poorly for being such an old release at this point

I installed a mod that made my Sims freaky at night👅

Nothing special really, I play it every once and awhile but then after like a couple of hours I get bored

This is the only Sims game I have played besides the Sims 3, so I will be comparing it to that. I remember when this game first came out the graphics were revolutionary (at least to 12 year old me). Unfortunately, it did not go too much beyond that. The graphics were good, the CAS was much better and way more immersive compared to the Sims 3, but this game is so vanilla and empty without all the packs. The base game feels hurried and unfinished. With all the packs and everything, its pretty fun. Sometimes there are lags and issues caused by the many loading screens you have to go through as it isn't an open world game. Windenburg is the best world of this game btw.

I would like to Try For Baby with you

Why did it get rid of the open world? And charge hundreds of dollars for DLC that's not even good?

Sims 3 is better, but this one is a bit more optimized. The monetization sucks though.

The base game just doesn't have much content at all. I haven't played any of the other Sims games (yet) but they all just look so much more appealing.

There is a lot more content in the Sims 4 but it's all through DLCs and microtransactions which are all way too overpriced for what they offer. Some packs are as expensive as full AAA titles and you only unlock horses or something.

Good game if you have a bottomless wallet I guess.

At least it gave us Jim Pickens.

I still play it sometimes, but there is a big difference in the experience you get based on whether you have mods and packs or not. The base Sims 4 itself tends to be stale without them.

Unlike The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, something about the game feels soulless and empty. Expansion Packs, Game Packs, etc. are incredibly limited in content compared to the previous two games and I always feel like I'm getting ripped off.

If we can have the fun social, item, etc. interactions of TS2 and TS3; the open world, story progression, and customizability of TS3; and the easy and flexible build mode and compatibility with weaker computers of TS4, that would be my perfect Sims game.

Ville ønske der var uendelig penge glitch i virkeligheden 😭

eh, it was good except for the fact that IT BLEW UP MY MAC

has sex mods so automatically wins the argument against valorant

some insanely predatory business practices and the craziest fanbase ever

It's decent until you look at the sheer amount of DLCs

this game is really great with mods this would be way higher if mods weren't carrying so heavily and if the packs didn't cost 10000$

It's Sims what else to expect?

this the worst entry in the mainline sims series and i hate that its known as THE sims game. compared to the earlier games its lazy and gets boring so fast. the only thing it really has going for it is the mod support and graphics

Sims 4 brings out the worst of the sims franchise in terms of DLC.

game is extremely boring without extensive modding and is constantly filled with game-breaking bugs, i'm looking at you wedding stories

I can't stop playing this game, but listen. It's ass. It's nothing but an EA money grab. It barely works and I find myself frustrated about 50% of the time I'm playing it. Sims don't do what you want them to do, the world is devoid of life, and there's no real challenge.
Would I recommend it? Yes.

sucks in almost every way imaginable, im still playing it

Awesome and original game! It’s never not fun really, let’s be honest.

Much like the previous Sims games, The Sims 4 is a solid character/home building life simulation game. So if you enjoy that, it's great.
Though personally; felt the game to be very messy & rather unsure of itself.
In-game encouragement of purchasing DLC is also a turn off.
The forced internet connection requirements is also absurd.
Modding would improve many of the limitations of the game, though the developers overbearing beliefs regarding some mods is undesirable, & can put your accounts at risk of termination for having the audacity to do what you wish with your own private installation of the game.
