The biggest letdown in gaming history has Goofy Goof on the cover, what an actual sin this was

Super exciting to play this when it released. The Disney characters and new worlds were very cool and fun with better graphics.

Fantastic, truthfully I really don't understand the hate? Only real issue for me is the story structure is quite predictable until the final act, aside from that though this game knocks it out of the park!

waited 10 years of my human life for this game to come out, just to get bored mid playthrough. hopefully 4 comes back harder

Might not be as good and I or II ,but had a great time with it,combat was fluid, altough a tad to easy.
Finally got to see storylines being closed while setting up a new arc.
My main issue with the game is really some of the worlds, where it does feel more as if we are just observers,Arendelle for example was a big disapointing, and probably one of the worst disney worlds in KHs so far.

I dont enjoy this game as much as KH2 but its final act is seriously so good such a good finale to an amazing series. the ending got me fuck up so bad

if the toy story world was in kh1, it would have been the greatest game ever made (toy story is my favorite movie of all time)

A definite end for the Xehanort saga, and a good start point for the next one.
This game felt like the collection of results built up by the past volumes, a well executed closing (but only if you play re:mind).

Kingdom hearts III is easily one of my favorite games of all time. The exploration is a lot of fun unlike II's decorated hallways. Granted, the mini games aren't as fun as other games, grape flan, Verum Rex, and festival dance are inexcusable, although there are some goodies like the classic kingdom games. But the Gummiship is the best it has ever been, and to help with the open world gummi ship, there's the treasure spheres and constellations to find. Also, notice how Re:Mind hasn't been mentioned yet? That's because 3 as a standalone game was good. It didn't need DLC to "save it" but with the DLC, it is enhanced. There's an entire DLC story in Scala, the 13 data battles after the Scala story, and one last battle for the ages against Yozora. This is an amazing game, hands down.

A great game, dragged down by years of lore and a need to close the story. Specially after the updates and DLC, the base game is much much better, with great options for combat, however that still does not change the fact that engagements could have been designed better, and the truly abismal worlds are still horrible. Still, it is a fun time, give it a go if you have time. (THE DLC AND ITS EXTRA BOSSES ARE PEAK GAMING)

i feel like on absolute critical thoughts its a step back from both kh1 and 2. But I can say by not much at all and there are things this game stands out with as well. It feels like this game is rather easy even on proud mode as the game does try to celebrate its return by handing out wonderous moves that are fairly powerful and strong all the way to the end. It defintely has the most options and spectacle out of the three and it continues to be more over the top and exciting however I think it lacks polish or cohesion compared to both 1 and 2. This game defintley tries to tackle a lot with all the spin offs and even adding more details to 1 and 2 to which I feel can be hit and miss. Never outright awful. I'm happy given its develpoment hell and probably reason to why some things feel off or missing, I cannot express how ps2 it feels in the best way possible. Scripted setpieces or event always give the player control or are optional, unlike games of the modern era where interactivity is stripped away to give priority to the "cinematic" elements of the game. KH3 never shys away from being a video game and fully embraces it and even if its not as tight as the other ps2 games. This is the single best trait of kh3. Its uncomprised and unwilling to bend over backwards to make it broader to more players by dumbing anything down but by going really hard on this crossover action rpg. Hopefully the next sequel can shake the baggage of engine change dilemmas and maybe returning the dialouge to the 1st two's more natural delivery. The game has some good dialouge but it is highly expositry and a bit slow and monotone. Also screw you sqaure dlc should still not be $50.

Hate on this game is valid as story is abysmal but gameplay is it.

A few steps forward from KH2 (better world design but not by much) but a few steps back too (even more extraneous gameplay mechanics that make it perhaps the least challenging action JRPG of all time).

Also, reuses way too much music.

controversial but still one of the greatest experiences i've ever had, kinda scared to replay it the more time passes

Dunkey made the public think this game is terrible. Fuck that opinion. I adore this game a fuckin' ton.

Dropped and watched the story on YouTube cause it was so repetitive. Mid as freak

took a week off work for this

This's a game I have an interesting relationship with. Gameplay wise it's easily some of the most fun I've had with an rpg. Character & story wise is where it gets pretty rocky. It's not bad by any means but the way it ends was something I thought could've been handled differently(Which thankfully is somewhat fixed in Remind). I still overall like this game though and I enjoy replaying it for specific parts.

The biggest disappointment I've ever played.
I started the Kingdom Hearts series somewhere around late 2018. I either played through the game if I had the console for it or I would watch the cutscenes to understand the overall story. I got invested in these characters and, once I finished the available games, waited for KH3 to come out. That last month of waiting for the game's release was grueling, but I managed to persist with only some stuff being spoiled, the secret boss and the opening movie. I bough the game day one and spend the next 3 and a half days straight, after accounting for sleep and classes, to beat the game and see the rest of the story unfold. Unfortunately, after beating the game, I felt like i wasted my time. Not immediately, but after about 2 months. Not only was the main chunk of the story behind 20 hours of the worst disney worlds in the series, but the last 4 or so hours that I had been waiting for were just not interesting at all. There was only a single moment during the last parts of the game I enjoyed, and it was basically just fanservice. In the end, this game made me no longer interested in the series. I'll still keep up with the series, but I'm no longer counting down the days until the next game comes out. Still need to play Melody of Memory, but I'm not too interested in keeping up with the story anymore. Gameplay was alright I guess.

Most disappointed game in my life

The game is straight up gorgeous and incredibly fun to play
Love hurling myself off of steep cliffs

abysmal game, control scheme terrible, weak story and mentally draining combat
