After liking Uni2 for a while, I thought that would be my #1 anime fighter. I was wrong. When I was playing games like Uni 2, something was missing that I just couldn't put my finger on. I don't know what it was abt Central Fiction that it had over Uni 2 or the other anime fighters I've played, but maybe I'll figure it out the more I play other anime fighters. This game truly is the central fiction.
Fighting games peaked as a genre with this one tbh, I've never played another game with this level of fun, fast-paced movement and creative, unique character movesets. Basically every character in this has a whole unique mechanic that just exists for them and it's peak because of it, by far the best fighting game I've ever played.
A pretty divisive fighter, simplified for newer players but can cause grievances for more experienced players. A really awesome roster (which was planned to be way bigger) with the inclusion of totally new RWBY characters makes that the best aspect of the game. If you're a fan of any of the fighters outside of the RWBY characters, you're generally better off playing them in their own game due to some of the wackiness of this game.
