Near perfection, Everything I've ever wanted in a Guitar Hero game I found it in CH, no lag, customizable, multi-instrument support, community-made charts, and also it doesn't force you to have a guitar controller like the later GH titles (I play with keyboard lol), and did I mention it's FREE!

As a Bemani/BMS simp, I would kill to have a client as slick and easy to set up as Clone Hero. Customization of elements of the UI is really easy to tweak. The game supports multiple instruments competently. Song packs are easy to find and cover ever commercial release from GH/RB and even more fanmade selections.

As much as I adore the Komoney in house artists and the days worth of music they've produced, I'm sorry, it's nice to have a rhythm game that has shit that people in my personal life have listened to before. It's not like you can boot up Pop'n Music and play Ace of Spades.

If you like Guitar Hero/Rock Band this is the ideal way to play it. Even if you don't go grab the easily found rips of every Harmonix/Activision chart (Google clone hero spreadsheet) you could just grab any of the tons of fantastic custom chart packs that are out there and have a great time.

Simply put, the best feeling GH-like you will ever play. This engine feels perfect, it’s so easy to set up and calibrate, and so customizable that there’s really nothing to complain about here.

Combine that with the ludicrous amounts of custom content (that’s often better than anything from the official games) available for this game thanks to the incredibly talented and constantly active community, and you have a package that’s damn near impossible to turn down.

I gotta say I still miss the animated backgrounds from the base games (tho there is a workaround using pre-rendered videos, but it’s just not the same imo) and the career modes (no workaround for these as far as I know), and that alone is good enough reason for me to continue to go back to the official games.

If this game were able to mimic those features it would be a 10 for me, at the very least it’s without a doubt the most comprehensive experience for quickplay, and the easiest to slip into on a whim. Extremely accessible and perfectly caters to every level of player, thank god for the fan community
